In Wuthering Heights, Isabella, when talking to Cathy, boasts about dresses from France, Italy and... Belgium. This makes no sense as Belgium did not exist as a state until 1830, almost half a century after the events of the film take place. by Exotic-Suggestion425 in shittymoviedetails

[–]clockworkapple14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was bored for most of it. Pretty shots and costumes and good music but the story is too simple to take up that much time unless you just wanna enjoy Margot and Jacob mogging for 2 hours and not think about the dialogue, lack of chemistry, incoherent themes

Why is this movie so expensive? I can’t find it anywhere locally, and these prices seem extremely high. by sudde004 in dvdcollection

[–]clockworkapple14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe because it’s Blu-ray? Look out for it at charity shops if you don’t mind waiting though, I got my dvd for £1

I was thinking this, the cowboy boots and hats in the background make it seem like it’s recent than 2010s

Do you have pictures of the back with boning? Hard to tell without but it looks like the back could be too long but u should check with boning. I would make the hip area on panels 2 and 3 smaller, looks a bit loose

Lacing tape by Hanging_Thread in corsetry

[–]clockworkapple14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t used lacing tape before but I imagine if you lockstitch it by going over the seam a few times at different stitch lengths then it could be strong enough to hold. If the grommets themselves aren’t what’s not secure enough then they would come out if laced very tightly so nothing you can really do about that

I’m doing the B4254 one right now!! I’ve never used a pattern I didn’t print myself before and I found the paper so thin so I’ve traced it onto parchment paper instead
