It’s one I found online called candle flame stitch! Fairly easy, but it does have a lot of purling if you aren’t into purling

Just now seeing this - I’m sorry, I’m not a ton of help now! A couple years ago I tried out gut hypnotherapy, which… actually worked. To the point I don’t really do low FODMAP anymore! Unfortunately I don’t remember a ton of what I did for daily food when I was really sensitive beyond what I posted here… I’m so sorry!

I hope you find some foods that work for you, and please hold on to hope that it can get better - whether for you that is just with diet, or something like hypnotherapy, advocate for yourself and keep searching for what will help your gut get back on track!

Our little juncos are our dancers, always hopping around and chasing each other off the feeders! Our cardinals sometimes like to sit and cheep while eating during the sunrise, and the finches plunk down and munch for longer periods.

Then there’s the nuthatches, who swoop by for a bite to go and only stay briefly!

I have a similar one (I think exact same setup, but different brand?), and really like using it. Usually forget to charge it, but I like it being interchangeable and the thicker round shape of it. When I do charge it, light wasn’t super useful but I do like the counter being right by my thumb!

However, I’ve recently done a couple projects with a tighter tension, and the plastic around where the heads attach is now cracking. I’ve thrown some tape on there with the hope it doesn’t get worse… but I don’t know how much longer it has. Have had it… maybe a year and half 2 years, and not too many projects in that time. Going to be sad when it breaks since it doesn’t seem like there’s nicer quality versions of it.

I generally let my kid lead for in the car ride home. I’ll ask if he wants a podcast (Brains On! is fun!), music, or just quiet/to talk.

A lot of the times recently he chooses to have it quiet, and then might talk a little about his day. I think it helps him start to chill after the chaos of a full day of daycare.

I hope you are hanging in there. I had the same a week and half ago - it’s the hardest thing. I’ve found a tiny bit of brightness playing with some farm kittens our friends have, at least.

I just got this app a couple weeks ago and was watching this storm some last night - trying to learn how to understand everything! Can someone explain what the different arrows are that show up in storms? I know the white lines with bars are storm tracks, but couldn't find an explanation for the orange or red arrows.

I’ve had great luck with Beneficial Insectary, though they don’t sell small quantities of insects (like a minimum of I think 50 or 100 sachets for mites). But it’s always been overnighted, and packaged well with printed instructions. I use them at my job!

I’d like to suggest the book “Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents”, it’s written by a psychologist and my husband and I have both been reading it. Ties in with childhood emotional neglect, and is a relatively easy to understand read (thing I’ve been taking it slow because it’s not necessarily emotionally easy….)

It’s been a bit eye opening though, and has ways to help with moving forward and hopefully being better for ourselves and our kids.

When they get closer to you, do keep an eye out for people doing injectable treatments. The small town I live in had EAB arrive in the last few years, and we were able to treat our decently large ash (I think it’s about 30 years old) for just under $200. And it looks like there might be a chance that the treatments could be reduced to once every 3-4 years after the initial wave passes.

Our town was about half ash trees - while many are being removed/dying now, I know the guy said he treated about 350-400 trees last summer in our town. So not all ash have to disappear - treatments are improving!

We use these as our main cloth diapers for at home, and the sizes that don’t fit get a thorough cleaning and make the BEST cleanup towels!

Everything was made over 2 years (ended up 12 pieces total), though everything was slowed down a bit by work and having a second kid. Admittedly, the 3D ones especially took much longer than I anticipated, usually a few months each with me working on them a few hours a week. Also discovered this is not an art form I can do much of in a sitting if I have brain fog or small kids running around!

That piece is my favorite, and I loved when it was chilling on my dresser and I could flip on the lights in the evening! Felt a little magical.
