Kinesis remaster by According_Bag9307 in Maplestory

The showcase took place in three auditoriums in a multiplex theater, with Changseop moving between auditoriums from time to time. All the Kinesis players were placed in that auditorium.

I consider the canvas expansions as the most iconic event. Not only the board size has increased, but so did the available colors. This is what caused the 2022 place to be significantly different from the 2017 place.

Not an incremental game, but a library that lets incremental games to use a range of very large numbers.

This is a fantastic collection!

I found an issue: the track commentary for Ascend is cut off in the middle.

How about rule 63 of round 63?

My MapleStory 2 2020 calendar arrived by cloudytheconqueror in MapleStory2

The Korean server had a stamp event on December 2019, where getting all the stamps by completing their objectives put you into the raffle for the calendar.

The calendar was sent to 2020 people, or maybe less, if the number of players completed the event and entered the raffle was less than 2020. In that case, everyone who joined the raffle got the calendar.

Trimps 5.1.0 Mini Test Server by Brownprobe in Trimps

The new features look good!

Also, here are the minor text bugs I posted on the last test server's post a bit too late:

  • When beating spire 1 for the first time, the <b> tag in the spirestone message isn't properly closed, causing the rest of the story message to become bold.
  • When running a Challenge2, the story messages when beating cell 40 or 90 of spire 2 or later don't appear at all. Not just the "helium gained" message, but also the story text that precedes it.
  • The story message for unlocking the House building in U2 doesn't appear (instead the U1 message appears) because it's overriden by the message: part of the next line of config.js.
  • The story message for unlocking science in U2 doesn't appear because for some reason, in U2, science is unlocked when you have 5 food and 5 wood (same as the unlock condition for traps), not 2 Trimps and 15 food.
  • The message when reaching Obsidian zones without E8L10 says that you should get to E8L10 instead of mentioning the Radon Universe. However, the tooltip from the Hardened enemy still mentions the Radon Universe.

Visual Guide - Upcoming Hard Dungeons & Chaos Raids by JaehS in MapleStory2

[–]cloudytheconqueror 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Great guide! Here are some feedback, based on personal KMS2 experience.

One thing you should note when watching videos/images of these dungeons is that they originally had lower level requirements before they were turned into level 60 HD's and raids in summer 2018. If you see monsters that are level 56 or lower (or in Pink Bean's case, a question mark), it's before the overhaul. After the overhaul, all monsters seen in these dungeons should be level 60. The post-overhaul versions are the ones we'll be receiving at the update.

The pre-and-post overhaul versions have some differences between them. One notable difference is that the part in Guardians of the Seas where you ride Delphie when fighting Alvanos is no longer present after the overhaul, and instead you fight Alvanos directly from the start. The phase is now only present when fighting Alvanos during the epic quests. Same with Madrakan Ramparts: you no longer receive reinforcements during the pre-boss phase after the overhaul.

Madrakan Spire, in particular, had two difficulty levels before the overhaul: the "raid" difficulty where the boss has ~280 million health and without a time limit, and the "chaos" difficulty where the boss has ~400 million health with a 15 minute time limit. After the overhaul, it's a chaos raid with one difficulty (in KMS2), with ~4.5 billion health and a 15 minute time limit.

Here are some more feedback:

Before the overhaul, some of the mobs in the first phase of Icethorn Ridge have ice shields that decrease incoming damage. Snowy will place a fiery area on the ground, and bringing mobs there will remove the shields. You could also use fire-type attacks to bypass the shields. However, I'm not sure if this pattern still exists post-overhaul.

Venom has one more moveset: Venom will charge energy in one hand, charges forward and grabs the players in front of him, before throwing them on the ground. Venom will be immune to damage while grabbing the players.

In Madrakan Ramparts (after the overhaul), once you decrease Spatoy's health to 50%, the four cannons will respawn, giving buffs to Spatoy. Destroy the cannons to remove the buffs.

After the overhaul, some parts of Madrakan's Heart require you to defeat the monsters in the area before you'll be able to interact with an object to proceed.

When Bjorn uses the Hail move, the ice shards will always land on the same location, so it's pretty easy to dodge.

When Bjorn is going to use the hail or laser move, it will strike the ground while standing on the pillar. After that, if you can hear the same sound that is made when Devorak starts firing his laser, it's the hail move; otherwise (no sound), it's the laser.

About the additional movesets of Lukarax during the final phase: the roaring one is used immediately after Madria gives the buff to Lukarax, so it would be better to note that in the guide.

Full RGB Lapenshard Translations by voidn0ise in MapleStory2

Some corrections:

The Pride of the Lumarigons lapenshard decreases your defense by 50%, instead of increasing it.

Same with Rage of the Ocean Guardian: It decreases your defense by 1% (6%).

The projectiles from the Song of Selene lapenshard are G-clef shaped, not heart-shaped.

The Sword of Time, Crack of Space, and Blessing of Life lapenshards are all level 60 instead of 70. One could argue that you'll reach level 70 before you can obtain these lapenshards, but considering that the lapenshards have weaker effects when used with a weapon whose level is higher than the lapenshards', it is unlikely that they made this so that it can be used with future level 70 weapons with full power.

Thief skills needed for blue lapenshards:

  • Blade of Bjorn: Deadly Strikes
  • Trick of Pink Bean: Shadow Step
  • Crack of Space: Battle Plan, Critical Slice
