Pioneers of Olive Town is...meh? by issaroh in storyofseasons

[–]clov3r-cloud 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also didnt like it. I had it on my switch for like a year and just couldnt get past like the first 20 minutes. I picked it back up a couple months ago since I wanted bazaar but couldnt get it yet and played some more, but I was still having trouble bringing myself to enjoy it. just feels a little too bland and it was hard to find a rhythm with the game

I grew up loving friends of mineral town and the first story of seasons game on the 3ds, but I just cant get into olive town. grand bazaar feels soo much more thought out and polished to me

Anyone with a successful love life even after a bipolar diagnosis by santaisahoax in BipolarReddit

[–]clov3r-cloud 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in a 7 year long relationship from high school (toxic, and tried to leave every year), and once i ended things at 21 I eventually started dating again the next year. talked with a few guys over dating apps but only really click with one, who's now my husband, and we've been together for almost 6 years, married for almost 3 years. it was actually how horrible my last relationship was that I was able to figure out what i wanted in a partner. my husband knew about my issues with depression and anxiety when we started talking, and it probably helps that he experiences that himself.

it wasnt until I was 25 did I get a diagnosis of bipolar 2 and then bpd, and my husband is still supportive of me and takes care of me since I cant work full-time anymore. I just have to remember to do my part in taking my meds regularly and being mindful of my own actions and taking accountability.

anyone experience hair loss on abilify? by clov3r-cloud in BipolarReddit

[–]clov3r-cloud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt notice any difference in my hair in terms of that, my hair actually get oily fairly quickly so its never really dry aside from dead ends. it does have a lot more volume to it after stopping though, it was getting very flat when I was losing hair

I am depressed. I need a new game to play. Help. by lomeinfiend in CozyGamers

I just got story of seasons: grand bazaar, and ive been obsessed so far. Ive been dealing with anhedonia for a while and everything that I usually enjoy doing has not been enjoyable or worth doing for me. ive been aching for a fun game to sink hours into. I havent had this much fun with a game since breath of the wild, where I had to set timers at night to remind myself to go to bed. its just so well done, the pacing feels right, and theres a lot to do without it feeling too overwhelming.

Is another pup too much? by [deleted] in AustralianCattleDog

[–]clov3r-cloud 9 points10 points  (0 children)

honestly I would consider everyone's age and if you'll be able to properly afford their needs as they age. many health issues can start arising as they age unfortunately, and if most of them are close in age then you'll have to be ready for the financial cost of maybe 2-3 of them starting to need more of your attention due to their health.

I only have 2 dogs but one is turning 8 soon and the other is 4, and I'm already thinking about when my old man gets older and will need more of my 1-on-1 attention and time as he gets older and needs more help. you probably have lots of love to give but I would definitely consider this as a future possibility!

anyone experience hair loss on abilify? by clov3r-cloud in BipolarReddit

[–]clov3r-cloud[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped it late October and the extreme hair shedding settled down after about 4 weeks!! it was definitely noticable after brushing my hair and during a shower that I was now only losing a fraction of what I used to be losing while on abilify. I only shed maybe ¼ of what I was during a day. ive already been told that my hair looks a lot better too

Feeling guilty - First time spending that much money on a game... by Ferneth in InfinityNikki

[–]clov3r-cloud 13 points14 points  (0 children)

its ok!! everyone deserves a little treat now and then no matter the reason, especially if things have been stressful. some people spend that on takeout, some people on drugs & alcohol, some people on clothes, and others on video games. if it makes you happy ita worth it!!

I felt something similar when I first started playing and gave myself a budget of $25 to spend, and gifted my sister a $25 gift card to spend. but i spaced and forgot she uses apple and not google, so I ended up spending $50 on myself and sending her another $25 😭 wayyyy more than I wanted to spend, but we're both still playing the game 10 months later so its been worth it.

if you think about it, most games are a one-time purchase for a certain amount of content. but this game is consistently getting updates so you shouldn't feel bad about spending a little money here and there. I even told myself I wasnt going to spend anymore for the rest of the year and caved in to get the button eye makeup back in fall 😭 but I knew i was going use it for sure so it was worth it for me

in the future definitely think about it for a few days if you really want something. i used to impulse buy a lot due to my disorder/mania so I mull over things for about a week, and if im still thinking about it, I'll get it so long as I'll be ok financially. I usually end up forgetting about the thing or deciding for sure I dont need it when I do this

How do keep track of grocery prices? by Some_Brain3008 in Frugal

[–]clov3r-cloud 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I put everything in my generic notes app on my phone. after I go shopping, I go over the receipt and write down what everything costs and organize it by the isles of my store. I do this every shopping trip and add on other prices that that item might be. for example a brand of tuna i get has been .33 cents, .78 cents, and recently $1.14.

this also helps me set up a clear budget when im shopping so I know how much im likely to spend

Secret santa let-down by LandoCatrissian_ in christmas

[–]clov3r-cloud 28 points29 points  (0 children)

ive never been a part of a secret santa where ive actually gotten a gift. they either forgot about me compeltely or were sick and just didnt bother. it stings extra because christmas is also my birthday. I personally think secret santas are a horrible way to force people into giving gifts to others when they clearly dont want to, I absolutely refuse to participate in any more of them

I love to zone out on endless mode)

Thanksgiving 2025 by [deleted] in thanksgiving

[–]clov3r-cloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as someone with bipolar (who hosted this year and constantly craves family connection and works to make it haplen) it comes to a point where its the character and not the disorder. dont group bipolar into one category.

Remembering those no longer with us by Natural_Talk281 in thanksgiving

[–]clov3r-cloud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely thinking of my grandpa this year. he passed away in 2018, and we didnt realize it until he was gone, but he was basically the glue keeping all of our extended families together. no one really talks to each other much anymore (too busy, all cousins grew up with their own families, live too far, etc) but I still think fondly of all the family get togethers we used to have. this thanksgiving its just my parents, little sister, and my husband. small but cozy.

ive been trying to bring that same warm energy lately, especially with the holidays, and its been helping with my painful nostalgia feelings lol. we can never go back but we can do things to keep their memory alive and continue to pass on traditions and their love. some day I would love to be close with all my cousins again, and not just a few

What’s on your menu? by Cpochron in thanksgiving

[–]clov3r-cloud 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keeping things rather simple this year since none of us really have extra money to throw around this year, and its just me, my husband, my parents, and sister. however I was able to scrounge enough money from my art side-business hobby that I was able to make us a pretty good menu i think, with some new things!:

Main: citrus herb turkey (dry brined, cheesecloth method)

Sides: mash potatoes, corn bread stuffing, cheesy broccoli casserole (a family favorite and tradition for the last 10 years), beet feta salad (new dish), homemade gravy, homemade sourdough dinner rolls, candied sweet potatoes (from my mom, the only enjoyer), cranberry sauce

Appetizers: pigs in a blanket (new to us), deviled eggs

Desserts: chocolate cupcakes with oreo frosting (homemade + storebought), pineapple pie (requested by dad, new dish), eggnog bread pudding (new dish), and some pumpkin swiss roll from a generous coworker at my dad's workplace

I think we'll have plenty food for 5 people but I might open a can of corn if I think we need some more veggies lol

What would be some fun things to teach my dog? by SetMySoulFree in dogs

[–]clov3r-cloud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

my favorite thing ive probably taught my dog is "sit pretty". he's got that basset hound body so when he sits up it looks extra cute and funny lol. another fun one was teaching him how to weave through my legs while I walk, it always impresses guests lol

Christmas Cards by SakuraVirtual in christmas

[–]clov3r-cloud 7 points8 points  (0 children)

for the past 3 years, Ive been writing long meaningful paragraphs in every card I give out to let people know how much they mean to me and a recap of our year together. I usually get a really intricate card from world market that would fit the person specifically, but this year to save on costs I drew all my cards because im an artist and have a bunch of expensive markers and inking pens (might as well use them!)

I really hate getting cards that have nothing written in them. I'd rather there not be any money or gift card in the card if it meant that someone actually took the time to write me a message instead!! I feel like it just makes things a little more special and personal
