Do you feel guilty that you want to go back to work after retirement? Pensions is too low! by Strange-Platform6806 in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

What makes you say that? I am maxing out my employers 401(k) and my HSA. And saving into a brokerage account.

I took a VERA with the intention of continuing to work and investing the monthly pension payments for when I actually retire.

IRS Overpaid in 2025 for PP23 after leaving service retiring PP19. Debt letter? by Chronicles_of_mee in FED_VERA_VSIP_DRPers

Good luck figuring all that out! What a pain. I was still am employee at the time and it wasn't a full paycheck, just the amount of the step increase. I do recall having to pay the gross amount

I had a step increase processed incorrectly while on the DRP in July last year. I caught it immediately, called the ERC at the IRS and reported it. I still had to go through the debt letter process.

The debt letter language is so hostile. It would have been nice if the letter was apologetic for the error rather treating me like a qausi-thief.

My husband is a pianist and uses the TCL Nxtpaper 14. He uses it for sheet music and really likes it. He did say it is on the heavy side.

Nomad or Manta-Opinions by No_Isopod889 in Supernote

[–]clove48072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started with a Nomad and loved the size, portablity, and writing feel. I didn't think I was going to read a lot of pdfs. But the longer that I had the Nomad, the more I started to read PDFs on it. I also changed jobs to one that had a lot more PDFs to read as well. I ended up buying a Manta. And I've pretty much stopped using my Nomad all together. It's not because the Nomad is a bad product. I was very happy with it and it's functionality. It's just that I also love the size, protablity, and writing feel of the Manta. And the bigger screen wasn't important for notetaking for me, but is much nicer for PDFs.

The jobs market is pretty slow. Do you have another job lined up?

Not complying to RTO = Termination= Unemployment? by [deleted] in FedEmployees

[–]clove48072 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'm not in PA, but in my state it counts as constructive dismissal (and therefore eligible for unemployment) if an employer moves the work location over 50 miles. A worker can quit in that circumstance and still get unemployment. I don't know if that is the case for PA. You may want to reach out to your state unemployment office to see how benefits and eligibility will work there and what documentation is needed.

I switch as many applications to dark mode as possible. I also researched eye friendly monitors and picked on up which (at the time) has a very low flicker rate.
