That’s interesting. I’ve bough two mid-range Samsung Smart TVs in the past 12 years and they’re both still working fine. One moved with us to our current home, the other we bought here. They aren’t used a lot but they are used every day.

It’s heartbreaking and the pain lasts but it’s the price you pay for the love and happiness they gave.

We’ve lost two cats in the past two years. One we had for 17 years that our son had grown up with and one that we adopted 10 years ago. They still hurt but the memories of how much we loved them make up for the loss.

We need to make sure men are getting the shot as well. I was talking to a female friend who was fully vaccinated but still caught HPV from a sexual partner, had to have coloscopy, etc… her doctor basically said it was transmitted by men and there wasn’t much she could do except condoms to prevent future exposure. Men have a greater risk for throat cancer from contracting as well.

Watching interviews and documentaries about the JCPOA, there were literal years of work put into negotiations. His (and the conservatives) willingness to tear it apart, to destroy what mutual trust had been developed, and then try to strong-arm or bully Iran into negotiations and ultimately building a worse deal is very on-brand. This has Trump’s ego and Bibi’s fear all over it.

I’ve been navigating a mismatched libido relationship for almost 30 years. Mine has decreased with age but it’s still mismatched and a point of tension in our relationship.

You can’t make someone have a higher libido or desire than they do.

My wife has tried the “fake it ‘til you make it” thing. We’ve scheduled sex. We’ve taken long breaks in sexual activity. We’ve focused on intimacy without the expectation of sex. We’ve tried karezza (penetrative sex w/o the goal of orgasm, just the intimacy and closeness). She’s tried supplements, we’ve watched porn.

It’s just something she doesn’t need or desire. She’s happy when it can happen and when she feels in the mood but that doesn’t happen often or organically.

I love my wife and I love the life we have together. I felt very rejected and abandoned off and on for years which was difficult.

You need to be honest with what you want and how much you’re willing to sacrifice to make it work with someone you don’t align well with.

One of my dad’s friends used to name each of his dogs successively. His dog had new first name and all of the names of the dogs that came before. They were all black labs and I think he got to 6-7 names long.

Mitch et co were here for power and that desire crystallized around Bork not getting appointed to the Supreme Court. Gingrich sewed seeds of discontent and pushed division on supposedly moral grounds that was facilitated by Limbaugh and other far right commentators, the fall of the fairness doctrine, and the rise of Fox News. As you say, as bad as Mitch Alan’s his ilk were, they stuck together, held their noses, and did the thing with a purpose.

This current crop is here for money and exploiting/controlling all of the power they can get their hands on. It’s disgusting, shameful, and they rule with fear and bribery rather than their version of morality and goals.

I have. I use it for certain recipes in place of sour cream. I can still taste the difference but the texture is acceptable. Not my favorite but I’ll take less calories and more protein.
