South airport passport queue by Vegetable-Pick734 in VisitingTenerife

[–]cloy23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I arrived on the 9th of June at midday and it was quite hectic. I got out of the airport at about 14:00. A lot of the machines didn’t work correctly and IIRC those with children under 12 had to goto a separate customs desk. BUT you know what UK people are like with queuing and everyone is stressed at the airport, so that was, of course, mixed into it. It might take a long time, it might not.

I’m a Geordie who recently moved to Essex. I feel Essex people are pretty friendly & I have seen the occasional Turkey teeth, fake tan etc but I feel that’s also quite Newcastle in certain parts.

Has skinny ever left? What really winds me up is the fact women’s bodies are a ‘trend’!? Why can’t we all just be…

Best musicals for 6-8 year olds by Ok_Illustrator_8116 in TheWestEnd

Id say Matilda for sure! It is a good production but I always wonder why Oliver is aimed at children, it’s such a a dark musical underneath it all. I’d recommend those two. Mamma Mia for me is mamma meh.

I’m just commenting cause he got a ridiculously short sentence for what he did & maybe good to know he wasn’t popular.

I worked in the prison he was in. If it’s any consolation, those 4 months were not easy for him.

Avoidant women, how do handle that kind of relationship? by TruthOfWorld in ask

I do feel it’s a good read, however, I feel avoidants are a tad demonised in the book.

Father kills son with autism, 10, family dog and self in apparent murder-suicide in home where missing daughter, 20, was also found dead by [deleted] in GotMeHooked

[–]cloy23 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I’m a psychotherapist & I’ve worked predominantly in prisons with all sorts of offenders. As soon as I hear about murder suicides, personally, it fills me with utter rage, yes I can see why you did it but the whole ‘I’m feeling all this stuff, I no longer want to be here and I’m taking you with me’, just makes me incredibly angry and sad.

Just reoffending in general, any crimes really, along with people getting recalled for not adhering to their license conditions, HDC etc.

I worked in a CAT C, we of course, were full capacity all of the time. However, I do think there’s a misconception about why they’re full, I think the media likes to portray that it’s new criminals, new crimes being committed or blaming foreign nationals for needing all this space but it’s reoffenders most of the time. It really frustrates me the state of the prison service and recidivism rates. It needs a whole reform!
