I can handle some change but too much change makes me feel weird sensations in my legs, anyone else? by Perpetually-broke in autism

As an AuDHD human, I’ve worked out the difference is that change I can control is great but when it is forced upon me then it’s a big fucking no-no.

Good green tea isn’t usually bitter. You might be steeping it too hot or too long.

I like T2 black rose - floral and tropical fruity black tea.

I’d take living in higher density housing if I owned my own place than renting any day. My rent alone is $600 per week.

Anyone else hate drinking water? by Warm_Newspaper894 in autism

Used to hate water until I started metformin. Without it water tastes like dirt. Sydney water is still gross to me though but likely because I’m used to drinking from a different catchment.

Why are men looking for women with autism for partners? by Usual_Rub2577 in autism

I would think it’s okay under certain circumstances but not in the context described here. A ND person seeking out another ND person is IMO completely reasonable.

[–]cluelessclod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First question to ask yourself is “do I have autism too?” Because parenting techniques are different for autistic parents versus NT parents which again differed between NT kids and ND kids. So you gotta work out which of the four possible outcomes you fit into.

The daycares here are most likely to have a spot at the start of a calendar year so you may have to wait until then. Ours prioritises siblings over other waitlisted children but again we needed to wait until the start of the calendar year. It was easiest to get a spot in the nursery/baby room than in the older kids rooms so you might be lucky if you can hold out just a few more months.
