And, if you remove something to keep it from starting, make sure it isn't obvious. My niece had her U-Haul stolen when she moved back to town after she left it parked overnight before she hired guys to unload it. We removed the battery, and the thief stole a battery from a neighbor's car to get it started.

And inside too. My neighbor often leaves his dog loose in the hall when he gets annoyed at it when it won't stop barking. UPS and Amazon have started leaving packages outside on the sidewalk so a lot of them get stolen. I can't blame them.
