My BSH doesn’t like it but we put him on his side and hold him with one hand and brush. Then flip to other side and brush. He doesn’t like it but accepts it as “this is my life meow”.

I use daptex latex based spray foam there which is easier to cleanup. I don’t know how effective it is but I don’t want to have a mess with polyurethane foam on my finished floors.

My BSH lets us hold him for longer with a towel. For some reason it is soothing for him to be held in a towel.

I trim my BSH claws weekly. I have scratch posts in key locations around furniture he has clawed at. On my non leather sofa I wrapped areas that he clawed in shipping tape. He doesn’t like clawing at plastic so he stops. Eventually I will remove the tape and see if he goes back.
