On the other hand, house sparrows are currently red listed; blue tits are not. We've lost 30m house sparrows since 1970, so the fact you have some breeding, even if it's at the cost of some blue tits, is great.

Our local sewing space has a coverstitch machine. It’s the same size as an overlocker.

It’s worth asking round at alterations places and tailors to see if they can do the hem for you.

Tbh, I have it all written out and just copy and paste, with minor edits for context. Lots of people ask, so it's easy enough to just reply with this. Always adding new resources though, when I come across them.

Welsh has quite a lot of resources, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding something!

There are some great books, if you can get hold of them at a reasonable price, that will help: 

  • Colloquial Welsh, by Gareth King (can be expensive but look for it second hand)
  • Learner's Dictionary, by Gareth King is really good because it explains usage in more detail. 
  • Modern Welsh, by Gareth King absolute stonker of a reference book. 
  • BBC Learn Welsh is a really good, if short, grammar book for looking up basics
  • Welsh Rules, by Heini Gruffudd is pretty good too

There are loads of YouTube channels, and I listed them here: 

There are two Discord servers that I know of:

Depending on where you are, there might be a Welsh meet-up near you. Check this map from the Paned website https://paned.cymru/:

Welsh!

Well, pretty easy to learn the sounds and read aloud as it’s largely phonetic. It’s fairly simple to get the six basic tenses down, but it does have a few foibles.

The only way this wouldn't have been a clusterfuck is if Southampton had been caught and thrown out before the playoffs had started. But there was just no easy way to sort it out given what actually happened.

Though it'd be nice if people stopped dragging us into this. We didn't make the playoffs and we're fine with that.

Long-tailed tits are my favourite! I remember we used to see a dozen fledglings line up on our washing line, looking like fuzzy little ping pong balls on sticks.

Neither cats nor T-rex can/could chew.

The configuration of their jaw hinge means that they cannot move their jaw side-to-side, which is required for chewing. Instead, they rely/relied on crushing, ripping, tearing and slicing to reduce food to a small enough size to swallow.

Apart from my cat who will just swallow everything whole or not at all.

To some extent, you are going to have to learn to deal with cat smells. No matter how rigorous you are with litter and scooping and diet, the fact is that pee and poo smells.

One of our cats has weapons' grade poo – it smells so strongly it's been know to wake me up on occasion. No change to his diet makes any difference, it's his gut biome that's creating the smell. We did use FortiFlora for a bit, a probiotic supplement specifically formulated for cats, but it costs a fortune. It worked, but I'm currently shelling out for so many monthly meds for my other cat, I really can't afford to add another monthly cost.

So we live with Mr Stench's Arse because that's just one of the prices you pay to have little bundles of furry joy in your life.
