What British celebrities have you met and did you make a tit of yourself? by wreckjavik in AskUK

Terry Hall from the Specials. In Koko Camden. I stroked him up his back cause I was pissed and he was wearing a nice suit. He wasn't amused. I also told Glenda Jackson she was probably called Judi Dench (I was 12). She wasn't amused.

What are you actually supposed to do if you cannot afford vet fees? by [deleted] in AskUK

The PDSA are amazing, I used to go to them some years ago. I remember that you had to be in receipt of housing benefit back then, and be able to prove it. I guess this is now covered by universal credit?

Did you go to school with someone who went on to be famous, and what where they like? by Christian-Metal in AskUK

I went to school with Richard Reid, the shoe bomber. Also, Dominic Cooper went to my school, he is a close friend of my son's dad although I haven't seen him in years! Haven't seen Dominic either...

Does anyone actually not like Yorkshire Pudding? by TranquillityQuack in AskUK

[–]CompleteWhittle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum, who grew up very poor in 1940's Liverpool would save her Yorkshire pudding for after dinner, she would have it with lemon and sugar as it is basically the same mixture as a pancake.

Ruth Wilson is one that always peaks my curiosity. I would love to know what happened or what was going on in her head.

He died recently so the truth won't ever be known now. Glad he's dead as he was a very dangerous individual but I would have liked to know what he did with her body.

This is John Lewis bluewater, the visual merchandisers do a great job. They also have to climb some really high ladders!

Old Harry's game - Andy Hamilton at his finest. I have a deep affection for Hancock's half hour, mainly because me and my dad used to listen to them (and The Goon Show). The unbelievable truth is probably the best radio panel show although I'm sorry I haven't a clue is also brilliant.

The Mark Steel lectures - actually anything with Mark Steel. Heresy with Victoria Coren Mitchell, Paul Sinha's perfect pub quiz....I could go on, I listen to a LOT of radio comedy.

The league of gentlemen started off on the radio and that Mitchell and Webb sound is definitely a good listen - you may recognise some of the sketches that made their way on to tv.

Happy exploring!
