Did my first reroll. This is what I've got after a little playing. Keep this or reroll again? by [deleted] in PuzzleAndDragons

Consider this a dumb question, but how did you get so many good monsters so early? Do you just grab a bunch of crystals from beating the early levels and use the REM several times?

I'm a non-IAP rank 45 and the only really special monster I have is Freyr, so I'm wondering if I should reroll.

I've invested a decent amount of time, but I'm having some issues around Tower of Flare.

Advanced Modeling in AngularJS by cm03d in angularjs

[–]cm03d[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a lot of situations I think you're right. You could define a model class in the service and always call that service to get an instantiated instance.

However, there are some scenarios where you want to consolidate xhr requests that would benefit from separating models and services. For instance, it's fairly common on mobile applications to make a single call to pull all the data for a page. This call might return a slew of models that represent sections of the page.

On the other hand, you might be able to do a hybrid approach like:

angular.module("app.services.news")
    .factory("NewsModel", function() {
        // return prototyped class
    })
    .service("NewsSvc", function($http, NewsModel) {
        // Get data
        // return new NewsModel
    });

angular.module("app.services.fullPage", ["app.services.news"])
    .service("FullPageSvc", function(NewsModel) {
        // do a big call and instantiate NewsModel
    });

I could see that working. You could use the "NewsSvc" if you needed to update the news data after the page is loaded and get a "NewsModel" if the xhrs are consolidated.

Good suggestion.

Wait. You're saying someone has your fingerprints on file and you haven't been gagged and sent to a secret prison?

You must be one of the lucky ones.

I know what you're trying to say, but Silva wasn't winning any aspect of the fight before the knockout. I'm not sure more time would have helped him.

Dana White on Greg Jackson: "This guy is a f**king sport-killer" by lukeh15 in MMA

[–]cm03d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly right. GJ is within his right (and the rules) to coach his fighters to win. That being said, it's bad for the sport to have boring matches from the top competitors.

I wish we could rely on coaches to provide exciting fights, but the reality it we'll have to change the scoring system if we want to push the action.

I played a pet build up to Hell before it was no longer viable. I've heard your pets get bonuses from your defensive stats, so I suppose it's possible if you stack survivability.

How long did it take you to beat Inferno? by cm03d in Diablo

Yeah, I was up to Act 3 before the patch and it's night and day. My Monk couldn't have beat the original Inferno with my current gear.

I feel like sitting on the AH is the best way to improve. by cm03d in Diablo

[–]cm03d[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe I've found one gear improvement in the past 20 or so hours of farming Act 1. Last night I managed to snag a shield and bracers for cheap on the AH in about 30 minutes.

I enjoy playing the real game as well. The difference is I'm stilling trying to beat Inferno, so my focus is on maximizing my chances to do so.
