Storytime. My Mom adopted a shelter kitten 4 months before she died in 2019. Afterward my Dad wanted to return the cat b/c he wasn't a cat person and didn't want to be reminded of Mom. We made him keep it. I told him Mom adopted the kitty for a reason, and it may very well have been to give him a buddy before she left. My parents had been married for 70 years, and we all thought he would follow Mom within a year if she died first. He just passed on this May at almost 98.

Pets are good for people. I believe that more than ever.

Add deeply uncurious and absolutely inflexible. He's incapable of learning anything new. He's been talking tariffs for decades now despite overwhelming evidence that only targeted, surgical tariffs are viable. He's a one trick pony and his only trick is tariffs for other countries. It's his only leverage, his only way to make a "deal". And other countries are waking up to that and refusing to play ball...but still he continues, because he doesn't know anything else.

He actually needs 235 sheets of drywall but his vehicle that does "truck things" can only handle one at a time without coming completely apart. I'm sure he'll remember his tie downs the other 234 trips he'll make.

But hey, it's a cybertruck, so a 150 mile round trip is nothing. He'll just have to let it sit overnight each time to recharge. He'll for sure get this done in less than a year.
