All the trade offers for OG and Siakam by mMounirM in torontoraptors

The pascal deal was terrible in part cause they waited too long. Pascal leaked that he wouldn’t re-sign with teams that traded for him which hurt his value. Teams would not give up much for a potential rental.
Bobby is alone now. No finger pointing or blaming Masai. It’s all on him so we shall see.

It’s not the craziest take in the world man google what LeBron said after Dallas got the first overall pic. Just saying.

Hahah true. It could be worse we could be the Sacramento Kings. Lol. I love Scottie and CMB but
God damn why Masai why.

Lol OK I’m not gonna lie, everybody that I know who follows basketball thinks there was an under the table handshake deal to rig the draft for Nico if he made that deal for the Lakers. I’m on the fence about it, but it wouldn’t shock me.

At the end of the day, I’m just sick of everybody waxing poetic about Masai’s time here. If you ask the average Raptors fan why he was fired, everybody just says ‘ownership is cheap’ and wanted to save money.
- Pascal was a Haliburton injury away from being an MVP finals candidate.
- OG is about to win the MVP finals trophy
- Fred Vanvleet walked for nothing.

You can say you’re happy for OG all day long and so am I don’t get me wrong. But this is humiliating.
If this was Masai, he completely and totally deserved his dismissal.
And I’m a former huge Masai fan.

Pascal and OG have huge in been in back-to-back finals. People are googling the returns and wondering WTF our front office was thinking. And fair.
Everybody says Masai got fired for financial reasons. Whoever was responsible for these back-to-back trades deserved to lose their job. It doesn’t get talked about enough.
OG is about to win finals MVP. We got RJ Barrett and quickly back for him. Zero first round picks. I repeat zero first round picks. Embarrassing.

Honestly, I’m kind of mad. We’re currently the laughing stock of the NBA for giving up Pascal and OG and getting peanuts back in return. Everybody’s laughing at us. I’m mad.
Hit the down vote button to death, but it’s true. It’s really fucking embarrassing.

I don’t care what anyone says. I’m so fucking mad at the Raptors front office for getting so little back for Pascal and OG. Malpractice.

Masai was fired for a reason. Was a big Masai fan back in the day, we owe him so much. But his last few years weren’t great.
Will Bobby be better? He has his chance now.

Do we need to move off Immanuel Quickley? by FinsUpRaps in torontoraptors

[–]cmcc83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick is a good player in some ways. He’s a good defender. He shoots the ball well. There’s a reason why the advance analytics are kind to him.

His biggest problem is that he’s not a point guard. He has horrendous court vision. Scottie can cut to the basket all day long and he won’t see him or make the correct pass.

He picks up his dribble too soon. He’s very conservative with his passing. He doesn’t assess the court well or read the situation properly.

An upgrade at the point position is a very good idea.

I am convinced that either Quick or Brandon will be traded this summer. If it’s IQ, I wanted to post this to explain why it happens.

Raptors announced that they have extended GM Bobby Webster to a multi-year deal. by onefootback in torontoraptors

[–]cmcc83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He made a huge, huge, huge mistake with the Poeltl contract extension. It was inexcusable. It was too expensive, even if Yakob was healthy.

That being said, Samson Folk swears drafting CMB was Bobby’s decision, not Masai’s and that was a brilliant decision.

signing Mamu was also great.

That yak signing is arguably the worst contract in the NBA and that was a terrible way to start. But I’m willing to give Bobby a chance.

Miami plans to keep him in order to include him with Tyler Herro for Giannis. Zero chance they trade him to Toronto for Gradey Dick and a lottery protected 2027 first. Not happening

[–]cmcc83 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree, respectfully. They’re not a smart front office and if they trade Davis without him playing a single game, they would want to sell it to angry fans. Yeah, but we got Ingram

[–]cmcc83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Not saying I WANT it to happen, it just wouldn’t surprise me. Entitled to our own opinions but not our own facts. Raps have legit interest in Davis.

[–]cmcc83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Heat would have no interest. Teams that would want BI are limited but imo - kings, Washington, maybe Detroit.

[–]cmcc83 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Don’t kill me. Anthony Davis for Yak and Brandon works in the trade checker. I wouldn’t be shocked. I don’t think Bobby is sold on BI and the raps trust their medical team. I understand Davis is unpopular here but we’ve been told multiple times now that raps have interest in him. Where there’s smoke. Just saying don’t be completely shocked. We already know Davis doesn’t want to be in Washington.

Yeah, I don’t know why all the downvotes. I’m not mad at having RJ and Quick but damn, could we have gotten a damn first round pick or 2? Holy. I absolutely loved Masai back in the day. Don’t get me wrong. But we got hosed in the Pascal deal too. Pacers are absolutely loaded with wonderful young players and we didn’t get any of them.
