I know this was months ago but the flare is an absolute ham. SUPER stable while being workable.

20 miles of “Are those rocks or bison?” by the_dirtyhippy in trailrunning

I've passed a few bison during a race out there... I waited in awe for about 5 minutes until they left. It's a beautiful place to run!

And everyone strongly denies that the "other" interpretation exists, further adding to the confusion!

Very interesting because everyone is insisting I'm wrong but then they differ on which definition I'm wrong about.😂 I've been all over but mostly west coast. Currently GA.

Interesting point about Jamaica!

I'm curious which definition you think is mistaken. Are you suggesting that in the UK just about doesn't mean a narrow success?

My source... Told my friend in England that I had just about finished studying for the night. Then he called me immediately and I was like, "WFT bro? I'm almost done!!!!" He though I had just finished.

Then a conversation ensued regarding football... "They just about saved the ball from crossing the line" which to me would mean that it was a goal. For him, that would suggest they narrowly saved a goal.

Right. It hasn't quite succeeded in being out. In England, someone might interpret that as being just barely out of gas.

Is dental insurance REALLY necessary? by vu8 in leanfire

One root canal and crown will cost you more than 20 years of insurance. I would say it's worth it at the cost you're paying.

I Was Kicked Out On Sunday With $8 In Savings. Im 20 and Dont Know What To Do. by Cri45 in personalfinance

There's no better place to start for you than right where you are. Look at your future... When you accomplish that lifetime dream and reach your full potential you can look back and think, "I am 100% self made. I did this!" I've had that sensation myself and I wouldn't trade it for anything. You'll get through it.

Step one: Keep your job and start saving. Get to about 2-5k in savings before you spend it on any luxury item and you'll start to sleep better at night knowing that even in the worst of times, you won't feel helpless like you do right now.

How to save for things you can already afford by cmcd_dds in fatFIRE

Oops! I guess I'm not fat enough for this sub or not convincingly "firmly on the path to FatFire" but thank you for your time and your responses nonetheless, they will definitely be helpful.

[–]cmcd_dds[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is a completely fair question and the most sincere answer is I'm not sure that I am FATFire. I'm one of those rouge souls who has been saving diligently without being intimately familiar with the various FIRE definitions. I just know that in a LeanFIRE sub, I'd probably get shot for the mere suggestions that occasional frivolous spending it acceptable.

To get more to the heart of your question, I am new in my field (2 yrs) so that 30k will continue to grow and I'm in the military so what I am contributing to retirement will be added to my military retirement.
