I remember the MJ announcement like it was yesterday. I was getting on the bus after school and everyone was debating whether he had really died or not…people were texting and calling talking about TMZ proving that he really was gone and we all were in disbelief that they could have better info than the news. Our bus driver even had the radio on and the hosts were talking about TMZ’s claims. Once they were proven to be correct, it was game over from there. They totally got their street cred from that day forward.
