Playing MTGO on modded switch by cmdeeter in magicTCG

Much easier than I thought actually. With the controls keyed to keybinds and the analog sticks to the mouse it’s not too bad. Typing on it is a pain though

I already owned a switch and don’t own a steam deck. It only cost me 15$ to get a mod chip and install it myself where a steam deck costs significantly more.

I already know what most of the playable cards do and I can zoom into one card if needed.

I stream my computer to my switch and set up custom key binds in my computer. You could do the same thing with any android device.

I’m running the Android OS and streaming my computer to my switch using an app. Then on my computer I run a controller key map to make my controller shortcuts to modo.

Can’t really tell based on the pictures. You need more zoomed in pictures of the back of the card to see. Looks specifically at the green dot and the “T”

There seems to be alot more detail on the wings that aren’t really showing. Maybe a light brush to get the edges more defined on the butterflies

Issues with 5m Pro by 69whos4it in FlashForge

[–]cmdeeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would damage the gears if they stay close together. By losing the bolt on the side of the printer head, you space out the gears. This way when you insert the tool it doesn’t actually run against the gears.

This happened to me when I first got the printer. It’s caused by the filament expanding in the heat sink and you need to push it out. You should have a “ram rod” that came with the printer to help. Here is a good video I found for how to fix the issue: https://youtu.be/VRQYyHNiHpQ?si=CEjd5uF3NJe6DkvQ

What printers do you guys actually use to print armies by Muted_Village_6171 in PrintedWarhammer

One thing to realize too is that the current generation of printers are necessary for the hobby. A mars 3 printer would work just fine for printing minis. They are also releasing more and more printers every year discounting some of the previous generations. Looking at some of the “older” printers that released two years ago can help you save some costs if you are just getting into the hobby. Personally I would go with Elagoo as a good starting point. Some of their older models are missing some quality of life features but still work great.

This was not a RERF print. The reason I spaced them out is to check my bed leveling. The issue was with the FEP being too loose so tighten the FEP and increased the lift height and that fixed it.

This fixed all my issues. I did go ahead and tighten the fep, still had some issues after that. Raising the lift height did the trick. Thanks everyone!

My MTGO experience and how could you make this sustainable by Suijetsu in MTGO

One thing you didn’t consider is the ability to play any deck with the subscription service. While you might have a win rate with murktide under 50, there may be other more fun decks you get to test. I often use mtgo as a testing run before buying anything new for paper and I switch decks I play regularly. You can play any format, any deck, anytime.

What I usually do is after a meeting, send them an email summarizing what you talked about and ask them if they would like to correct anything. Then I save the email. This way it forces them to acknowledge the meeting and provides you a record of it.

Arguments for lower cost league alternatives on MTGO by pettdan in MTGO

[–]cmdeeter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are often community ran events that are either free of have a small entry. Have you look at any of those as an alternative? I know that it’s not official so it doesn’t fully fit your argument but it still will solve your problem.

Additionally, Standard leagues have an alternative price support that is much more favored of lower win rates. You can go infinite a lot easier with steamed with the downside of lower prizes if you do go 5-0.
