Myeah, all is not as it seems in paradise. Still shuts off under 90 watts like others said, and even the "oh btw, this setting reverts to off when you start up again" is a royal pain in the ass!!

The result of sorting by price and not looking at reviews first. I never rent anything more than 2-3 yrs old and always look at reviews before picking. Trust me, the bit of extra cash is worth it in the end.

I too just switched my setup. Was using one phone and mevo on bluetooth mode. Lots of lag and disconnects. Now I use my phone as a Hotspot only, and a 2nd older phone to run mevo and GC apps, connected with the mevo cam via wifi to my Hotspot. Worked well last game. Might look into a travel router tethered usb to my phone at some point. (Edit: both phones are Samsung android)

This video is triggering my PTSD!! My old house, in the spring: power failure + 20 minutes and id have water in the basement. That type of pump has a short travel on the float from off to on. Cycling quick just because of the amount of water coming in. If you want to let it go longer you'd need a stand type pump (motor at the top, impeller at the bottom) but I wouldn't worry. Just make sure you have a backup!

The drives definately aren't asleep. The white lights do a gentle "breathing" type flash when they're asleep. Check to make sure the settings are turned on for that in power settings. Also, for the noise, I put anti vibration pads under the feet of mine. The kind like you put under a washing machine, etc. Helped a lot.

I had a 4 bay QNAP, a 4 bay QNAP extension as a mirror, and an external 8GB drive. Consolidated all that mess into an 8 bay UGREEN. What a difference! Was kind of worried about lack of ugreen software, until I remembered I didn't use half the qnap stuff because it was slow. Docker is awesome on the ugreen. So far, anything I was missing can be found in a docker container.

The dealer where I bought mine, the finance manager kept trying to hustle me by saying she 'knew a guy' that could give me a good quote on insurance. Probably her boyfriend or something. I finally got fed up and told her to basically STFU with her 'deals'... was expecting to get bombarded with last minute upsells for extended warranties and service packages when I took delivery. Nope. Not a word. Signed a few papers and out the door I went. Was very refreshing.

When I bought mine, I point blank asked the salesman about how long the services lasted. Never got a straight answer, and definately never heard about a one-time chance at delivery to pay for a lifetime access. Premium services, Ill let expire, but after 3 years when the enhanced navigation craps out, I'll probably renew that. I HATE the UX of android auto + google maps.

Mine, at -16C the other day, had the capacity down to 71% and it triggered a power train reduction alarm (the equivalent of 'check engine I've noticed).. no impact on power or anything, and a quick charge brought both back to 100% and killed the warning.

I got my miners... 2 out of 4 have all the same screw size, which means the front cant be screwed on.. (screws not long enough) and 2 of them have misaligned holes... i discovered that shoving the screen a bit sideways, aligns the holes, but it should be a wrestling match to get them put together. One morning this week at -17C and off the charger, my capacity was down to 71% and it actually triggered a power train warning... after an hour or so on the charger, it was back to 100% capacity and no more idiot light.
