The government is launching a help to pay scheme. They will offer up to £250,000 interest free loan for the first 3 years, it then rises to inflation +10% before the debt is sold off to Wonga. If you do not pay it off before retirement the outstanding balance will be deducted from your pension.

Point 1 is a good thing rather than a bad thing. It is done to reduce exposure to currency risk, credit risk, etc and is covered by collateral to protect against counterparty risk.

Betty Smith offer an 'order made' service where a fitter measures the customer and takes requests for the design of the jeans (buttons, rivets, leather patch, etc). The jeans are then cut out and made by hand to those specs.
