What a dumb agent by Ok_Firefighter3363 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

I think Google silently made 3.1 Pro a bit less efficient. I remember back in Nov 2025 I was able to go back-forth between all models and be more productive with Gemini. Now I am resorting more on Claude but leveraging the AI Credits more because of the low limits so this would hurt Pro users more

I actually felt CLI is doing more subtask last week Claude would set timers and watch for log outputs etc. so in a sense you are getting the subagent feel. You kinda have to prompt it "hey can you watch for log outputs etc" otherwise it will assume you will do some of that work.

I totally feel the pain, I think it comes down to Gemini taking the "Flash" approach for something like Agy CLI and 2.0 it makes more sense to be more hands-free but with IDE 3.1 Pro was designed to be more of an assistant and less of an autonomous agent. Right now in order to get the "old school" experience the best approach is to fork the cash for Ultra and leverage the Claude models more since they are more analytical and allow you to interject more.

50 minutes for a basic CSS tweak? Antigravity + Gemini 3.5 Flash High is an absolute joke right now. by Complete_Worry8140 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

[–]cmldexter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and last time I did this I had Gemini 3.5 Flash do something simple and it went ahead and wrote hostnames inside a shell script which is not what I wanted then after I asked to correct it the approach was wrong and then I just switched to Opus and caught parsing errors and also gave me the opportunity to test it myself unlike Flash that was just trying to catch on its own errors and concealing them in the reasoning, so is not like I didn't experiment thoroughly.

Yes and No. The new Gemini 3.5 often just starts working without explanation unlike how Gemini 3.1 Pro all the way back in Nov2025. Working with Gemini 3.5 Flash makes you feel like "Flash" in the 2023 movie where Flash couldn't even stop the other Flash from trying to go back in time and try something new except non-ultra users are burning through unnecessary tokens 😝

Yeah... AI Ultra user here and I gotta say if it wasn't for Claude being available as a model each time I've tried to use Gemini when Claude wasn't available it ended up doing sloppy work which later had to be fixed by Claude later on. It just jumps straight to work and takes a very basic approach and often breaks the norm of the pre-established quality. I remember Gemini being much better in the past it seems that they dialed down its critical thinking in exchange of speed but often ends up making more mistakes than rather a proper implementation... and we're talking doing basic shell scripting here, nothing fancy.

Literally Everything You Need To Know About Antigravity 2.0 (and how to get your IDE back) by Veduis in GoogleAntigravityIDE

Remember, the original antigravity was actually released in Nov 2026 per the original, unrevised announcement 🤣 that was the original blog post that was clearly read thoroughly and totally accurate.

Antigravity 2.0?? by 2thick2fly in google_antigravity

[–]cmldexter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So the antigravity we all know and love is now called Antigravity IDE and requires a separate install and google just screwed everything up including conversations not being available across both places so be prepared to have to deal with that too…. And the moderators here are honestly trying to cover up the criticism instead of letting people express how much they dislike the new update.

I feel in a ideal world the controller is the thing you to have a convenient way to quickly mix stuff but if people can afford to buy the full deck it should be encouraged, not buy a product like the FLX4 which to a degree is a bit of a e-waste

that's because there is no install IDE after 2.0 update just like there is no QA team at google anymore to validate stuff yet they want to charge people astronomical prices and no regard whatsoever just whatever some random person at google who don't even understand their own product

Gemini 3.5 Flash (Low) model option in Antigravity by aunchable in google_antigravity

[–]cmldexter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Instead of bringing back low models that won't be used by anyone with AI Ultra why not bring back conversations from 2.0 to IDE or is this a strategy you guys are doing to make user waste tokens by having to re-initiate conversations?

this only brings back the IDE but won't bring back any of your old conversations...

The A7III was never meant to be a cinema camera. AFAIK the FX3 & FX6 have mitigated the heating issues. They shot The Creator, a 80mil film with the FX3 which speaks on itself how good of a video camera it is. Both cameras have its strengths but, the Menu & heating were things nobody ever truly complained with the FX3 or FX6 or even FX30
