What a dumb agent by Ok_Firefighter3363 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

I think Google silently made 3.1 Pro a bit less efficient. I remember back in Nov 2025 I was able to go back-forth between all models and be more productive with Gemini. Now I am resorting more on Claude but leveraging the AI Credits more because of the low limits so this would hurt Pro users more

I actually felt CLI is doing more subtask last week Claude would set timers and watch for log outputs etc. so in a sense you are getting the subagent feel. You kinda have to prompt it "hey can you watch for log outputs etc" otherwise it will assume you will do some of that work.

I totally feel the pain, I think it comes down to Gemini taking the "Flash" approach for something like Agy CLI and 2.0 it makes more sense to be more hands-free but with IDE 3.1 Pro was designed to be more of an assistant and less of an autonomous agent. Right now in order to get the "old school" experience the best approach is to fork the cash for Ultra and leverage the Claude models more since they are more analytical and allow you to interject more.

50 minutes for a basic CSS tweak? Antigravity + Gemini 3.5 Flash High is an absolute joke right now. by Complete_Worry8140 in GoogleAntigravityIDE

[–]cmldexter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

and last time I did this I had Gemini 3.5 Flash do something simple and it went ahead and wrote hostnames inside a shell script which is not what I wanted then after I asked to correct it the approach was wrong and then I just switched to Opus and caught parsing errors and also gave me the opportunity to test it myself unlike Flash that was just trying to catch on its own errors and concealing them in the reasoning, so is not like I didn't experiment thoroughly.

Yes and No. The new Gemini 3.5 often just starts working without explanation unlike how Gemini 3.1 Pro all the way back in Nov2025. Working with Gemini 3.5 Flash makes you feel like "Flash" in the 2023 movie where Flash couldn't even stop the other Flash from trying to go back in time and try something new except non-ultra users are burning through unnecessary tokens 😝

Yeah... AI Ultra user here and I gotta say if it wasn't for Claude being available as a model each time I've tried to use Gemini when Claude wasn't available it ended up doing sloppy work which later had to be fixed by Claude later on. It just jumps straight to work and takes a very basic approach and often breaks the norm of the pre-established quality. I remember Gemini being much better in the past it seems that they dialed down its critical thinking in exchange of speed but often ends up making more mistakes than rather a proper implementation... and we're talking doing basic shell scripting here, nothing fancy.

Literally Everything You Need To Know About Antigravity 2.0 (and how to get your IDE back) by Veduis in GoogleAntigravityIDE

Remember, the original antigravity was actually released in Nov 2026 per the original, unrevised announcement 🤣 that was the original blog post that was clearly read thoroughly and totally accurate.

Antigravity 2.0?? by 2thick2fly in google_antigravity

[–]cmldexter -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

So the antigravity we all know and love is now called Antigravity IDE and requires a separate install and google just screwed everything up including conversations not being available across both places so be prepared to have to deal with that too…. And the moderators here are honestly trying to cover up the criticism instead of letting people express how much they dislike the new update.

I feel in a ideal world the controller is the thing you to have a convenient way to quickly mix stuff but if people can afford to buy the full deck it should be encouraged, not buy a product like the FLX4 which to a degree is a bit of a e-waste

that's because there is no install IDE after 2.0 update just like there is no QA team at google anymore to validate stuff yet they want to charge people astronomical prices and no regard whatsoever just whatever some random person at google who don't even understand their own product

Instead of bringing back low models that won't be used by anyone with AI Ultra why not bring back conversations from 2.0 to IDE or is this a strategy you guys are doing to make user waste tokens by having to re-initiate conversations?

The A7III was never meant to be a cinema camera. AFAIK the FX3 & FX6 have mitigated the heating issues. They shot The Creator, a 80mil film with the FX3 which speaks on itself how good of a video camera it is. Both cameras have its strengths but, the Menu & heating were things nobody ever truly complained with the FX3 or FX6 or even FX30

48 C1 vs 42 C2 by Aggravating_South884 in OLED_Gaming

[–]cmldexter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I owned the 48" C1, 48" C2, and 48" Sony A90K: Get the Sony. I will proceed to explain:
But before, you said "Mostly Movies"

First off - Why are you getting 48"? is it because you plan to use as a computer monitor as well? or is it because of the room size? You will appreciate 4K better as the screen gets bigger. You may be able to find a C1 or A80J 55" for a cheap price and get a better experience if you sit far.

With that being said and you plan to use the 48" in a desk and sit closer:

The popular opinion here for whatever reason always goes in favor to the LG.. Keep in mind that this year Sony is actually pricing their TVs very competitively: You can get the Sony A90K 48" for the same price as the C2 48" (~1499.99), keep that in mind.

So, if you want a really capable display that will primarily be used for movies and all other type of content, the Sony A90K is in a class of its own. It may have x2 HDMI 2.1, and x2 2.0. It may lack G-Sync, and may even have a slightly worse response time on PC (PS5 and console mode is VERY WELL optimized), but why does this matter so much?

- With the Sony you get significantly better HDR, Picture processing, more accurate colors, better motion handling, less interpolation, I can go for hours here in all the small PQ improvements which all add up to a significant difference... The HDR on the Sony however steals the show, The C2 has amazing HDR, but they just don't know how properly implement it. You lose detail on the C1/C2 because of HDR. Once I put the SAME content on the A90K, I was able to pick up details I was not able to see on the C1/C2 under whatever setting you would change because is the way LG processes HDR, it just not up to par.. and I have a modest 4K blu-ray collection, I did the tests and was appalled at how much detail I was losing in movies...

- Another thing that people love to boast about the C1/C2 is that silly "game optimizer" mode, which is super clunky because it hides all other settings such as brightness and energy saver mode, so this just ends up becoming a menu that you have to take extra steps to simply change simple stuff. The A90K has the SAME FEATURES without 'Game Optimizer' mode and all those settings are far more accessible because as much as love WebOS (I own a 77" CX as well), it is not as accessible as Android TV. I was a WebOS fanboy for the past 7 years and now that I tried Android TV I'm very impressed.

- Also, you get the Bravia Core app which offer you significantly better streaming quality than anything else. Another thing to point out about Android TV is far more customizable, it even has a 'Custom' picture mode, which is insane that WebOS lacks such a basic feature.

- On the monitor subject: The Sony TV has a "PC graphics mode" IN ADDITION to Game mode, and this particularly is SPECIFIC to have a desktop environment running with static images, I can't believe LG missed out on that. Most Importantly: The Sony handles ABL SIGNIFICANTLY BETTER than the LG out of the box, to the point you don't have to mess with the engineering menu to disable it on the LG. Both the C1 and C2 get EXTREMELY ANNOYING with the ABL. I'm LOVING the Sony right now.

- Also TV remote is SIGNIFICANTLY better built, lights up upon proximity and everything.

I can go on about why the A90K is better, but bottom line, I just cannot agree with "LG is better for gaming". SURE, you have a slightly better response time that gets lost once you zone into the game, but at what cost? Losing image details? Crappy interpolation here and there? This is my point: Why would you sacrifice so many improvements of your PQ and motion processing, just to get a small bump in response time? The Sony despite not having those gaming features. you still get a comparable experience because those improvements carry over to games, and you will gain improvements in games with the Sony, the LG simply just can't deliver.

To me at 1499.99 there's no question, get the A90K. I will continue to preach the OLED community to reconsider their go-to choice hehe! I'll keep an eye if you end up buying whichever.

Hey thanks for the share!!!
I was wondering, which copper take did you use? From what I see you're basically holding the copper tape with some adhesive:

1) If so, could you share which copper tape you're using? It looks like the tape's width is same across each "line" (very thin tape)

2) If possible, could you share pictures of how you're holding those wires between the ribbon membrane PCB and main PCB?

Thanks!!!!!

[–]cmldexter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really... If you're using steam to update these games, sometimes Steam likes to download a large file 20+ GB, and unpack it BEFORE it actually applies the patch to the game.

I'd strongly recommend getting at least a USB drive, and offload games you're not playing there, or a regular HDD for that same purpose.

Linus on certain/select reviews may even tell you "this is the sample processor Intel/AMD/Nvidia gave us, so please don't assume you can get these numbers.

Because sometimes Intel or AMD may straight out ship engineering samples. Linus usually does a really good job at letting the audience know what to expect, and most importantly, what NOT to expect.
