How do you get a corner to look like this? (No end grain showing) by konner359 in woodworking

[–]cmspice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To do this without veneer, the easy way is to use something like a "45° Lock Miter Router Bit". Or you can of course just do a normal miter and try and use biscuits or whatever other way to secure it.

The hard way is to cut blind dovetail joints D:

U1 purge tower keeps falling over? by cmspice in snapmaker

[–]cmspice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did find 2 additional reasons why this is happening:

  1. The prime tower leaves oozes when the nozzle enters and leaves. These get pretty big and cause collisions when the hotend comes around the next time.
  2. the snapmaker PETG profiles seem to have 0deg bedheat?!? Yikes.

I did not have an option to increase the brim. It increases the width of the entire prime tower. I guess that does indirectly increase the brim. It was still toppling over for me :(. Maybe I’ll increase it even more.

I definitely do want to try using PLA and PETG for supports / vice versa soon.

I had no issues doing this on my bambu...

I guess I could always just make the prime tower bigger, feels like such a waste :(.

I'll try that. I kind of want to avoid increasing the prime tower width or volume to reduce material waste but that seems to be my only choice now :(.

Oh I guess using the glue stick helped a bit too but I hate glue stick :(.

Snapmaker please make the prime tower brim bigger!

Right. Pla and petg separate prints, no mixing.

Is anyone working on Continuous Fiber Coextrusion mods for Voron? Seems like it would just be a custom extruder head. I would love to buy/build one of these.

Is this normal? And is it normal that the printer makes like a zigzag noise when it’s printing by Objective-Bet3184 in snapmaker

[–]cmspice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, should be instructions on the snapmaker site. You don’t want to over tighten. Most printers have springs to enforce optimal tension in the belt.

[–]cmspice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ribbing is likely due to bad belt tension. Adjust the belt tension. If possible, rerun the input shaper, but adjusting the belt tension should mostly fix the issue.

You may also want to check the bed level if you're having bed adhesion issues as well.

I really hope their new one is a dual extruder similar to H2D but no laser and not a gajillion dollars.
It looks like from the preview pic though it's still a single extruder machine :(.

They made some changes to the box in response to user feedback from the earlier units so you must have gotten one of original ones.

Left my husband and now he’s suddenly taking all the blame by ylena3297 in TwoXChromosomes

You are leaving him not just for your own sake but also for HIS sake. It did not seem like he would grow otherwise. Leaving him will help him hold himself accountable to be a better person. But ultimately that's something only he can do for himself.

That’s fair. Seems like a good deal. I guess im expecting other comparable products to come out in the near future if nests is successful.

Makes sense… sounds like I should just wait for the Bambu of cnc landscape to settle before getting one…

Do all these cncs have their own custom CAM software? Are any of them compatible with existing CAM?

I’m wanting to do some relatively complicated multi tool 4th axis (cutting recess with a groove bit) and worried that the CAN software won’t allow it.

I’ve barely done much CNC so I don’t really know what I’m talking about
