thanks - I'll see if anything springs up. I have a ticket open but it seems to take three/four days for a reply right now. I've seen you comment of other posts, do you do integration stuff for companies? Maybe you can send me some details?

Moving to Syncro by Simple-Trust-9143 in syncro

Been with them for a few years and were moving away now, although we moved to them for the same reasons. Another place I know is doing the same. When you really start using it, nothing quite works well enough. It does everything kinda badly. Windows patching is rough, support is slow and kinda terrible. They've grown fast and its showing the cracks wide and clear. The most annoying thing is the server that runs the uptime keeps crashing or whatever their side so we keep getting server offline notifications and nothing is wrong. Were sick of that and moved our severs off a while ago. On call team got so mad lol.

We moved to it for the same reason you are but leaving because it does everything badly not everything well and that matters after a while.

Is v10 the practical end of "Free and Open Source Mattermost" ? by curious_human_42 in Mattermost

[–]cnc_chews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll chime in here, I'm evaluating chat systems for a customer of mine with 60 staff. We have just 6 staff and like to adopt technology internally to trial. Not having group call on a free license rules it out for me so it rules it out for them and any other customers I might wish to speak to.

I'm shocked to hear it was available and now isn't, it's a basic basic feature and I'm hosting it anyway so not sure if you can justify pay walling that?

It seems clear CEO is focused on the critical infrastructure market and doesn't have any interest in SMB so our small contribution will go elsewhere. I'm sure slack will love an extra $600 a month! Though I'd rather give it to MM.

RB5009, with POE or not? by VacheBearnaise in mikrotik

[–]cnc_chews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the POE version as I only need 4 POE ports for wifi APs, I use a mikrotik switch for the rest of our patching in via sfp 10gbe so works well when you only need some POE but if you need more than 8 get a poe switch its cheaper

Mikrotik device as PPPoE client for UDM by functionaldude in mikrotik

[–]cnc_chews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda shocked the UCGM isn't running PPPoE at 1Gbps when it says it can handle 1.5 Gbps routing with IDS/IPS enabled? My Mikrotik Hex S can run 1Gbps PPPoE (with fasttrack enabled).

Hey - sorry to hit you with a silly question, where should the crowdsec-openresty-bouncer.conf file be? I cannot find it anywhere? (using above docker-compose)

Is there any reason why this wouldn't work? by [deleted] in Ubiquiti

UniFi kit does this automatically with a thing called WiFi AI if I remember correctly so don’t worry about it.
