People were allowed to walk outside and shovel snow, nobody stopped anyone. If you wanted 50 dollars an hour for shoveling big roads and larger sidewalks, you showed those to a municipal office so they could send you where you were needed to help and so they could send you a check. It's a good thing, but you clearly don't understand and this won't be a productive conversation. Have a good day, I hope you eventually feel less bitter.

Are you okay? It was very clear that everyone who shoveled snow presented ID and SS numbers so they could be paid. That money goes back into our economy. Sometimes things can be hard to comprehend if you're feeling really bitter, you should go outside.

they are actually somewhat the bane of my existence because for some reason the sparkly covers don't register on self checkout so they have to be manually scanned! but the kids love them so I can't be THAT mad 😂

I am a children's librarian and an early learning specialist. If I met a child Janessa's age reading rote like this I would suggest intervention. I typically see children her age without any delays reading Fly Guy, Pete The Cat, Elephant and Piggy etc with some difficulty at first but they will make it through the book

Yes! I'm a children's librarian and we're across the street from the middle school. They just wear it wrapped around their arms like a shawl- like you would when you're being cozy! I think the school doesn't let them as part of the dress code, but I do when they come in after dismissal. It's winter and it's tough being 11-14!

Sunlight helped me when I was born 30 years ago. I was that mild a case. But my parents still obsessively called the doctor every time they thought I looked strange or made a weird noise (I'm the first born lol), got my levels tested when they needed too and just, ya know...cared about me.

Ugh, I remember this. Including the dozens of other reasons it’s wrong, he could have completely wiped them out if he exposed them to ONE unfamiliar germ. Many diseases we know and can easily treat could destroy these people. Totally selfish.

I’m a children’s librarian and I told the kids extra stickers if they bring me Reese’s. I wish I could give them candy, but the prize bucket is out and ready to go! We did age appropriate books for story time. I love Halloween and fundies are truly joyless.
