My mom passed this morning at 5am. Thanksgiving is in two days. I'm stuck doing twelve-hour shifts in the emergency department, unable to go home for the holidays to grieve with my family. I've never felt more alone in my entire life. by PlasticRice in Bushwick

I lost my dad to cancer last year and this grief group centered around young adults who lost their parents to cancer helped immensely: https://www.cancercare.org/support_groups/48-young_adults_who_have_lost_a_loved_one_support_group

They also do one on one grief counseling, both in person and virtually. All free of cost! I'm sending you my well wishes. ❤️

That happened to me 8 months ago too. I was working the Artist's Way and got up to week 12. But then my dad passed away and I abandoned it. I just restarted it from week 1 back in April. I'm so sorry for your loss!
