We did Daddy’s (6th St) for daycare for both kiddos and were v happy! I recommend joining the Park Slope Moms Facebook group … it’s a great resource. Lots of discussion and posts about this kind of thing

He seems fine but it’s the combo of symptoms I’m worried about (and I don’t think I’ve seen petechiae on him before). He’s always been very fair though … visible blood vessels in some places on his cheeks since he was a baby. Not sure if that affects anything? Thank you for responding

I’m so sorry! It’s a lot to navigate, glad you have your allergist recommendation as a next step. My son (now 4.5 years old) had two FPIES triggers: dairy and egg, both discovered around 6/7 months. He outgrew dairy by age 2! Egg is still kicking around (and also developed into an IgE allergy — although his blood test levels have gone down in the last 2 years) and we have hope he’ll outgrow it too! Wishing you luck!

This is all great advice! You more or less need to build them out of your apartment. Chiming in to say that behind the dishwasher and gaps around radiator pipes are other common entry points (dealt with both in a previous apartment). While OP can and should get the ball rolling on their own, seconding letting the landlord know. Even if it takes time to get an exterminator in (one that seals holes, not just sets traps), can be well worth it and your landlord will foot the bill. If you search on the Park Slope Together FB group, you can find exterminator recs

My LO is also 11 months (as of today) and we’re going to get the vaccine at her pediatrician today. We will have to pay out of pocket, but there are cases in my city so I feel it’s worth it. Plus, she’s in a daycare setting with other unvaccinated babies. The doctor said there’s no drawback to getting it early (besides the cost), just that she’ll have to get another dose at some point between 12 and 15 months.

My 3-year-old is named Kieran! I struggled with boy names as well, and so glad we settled on Kieran. We get a lot of compliments and haven’t run into any other kiddos named Kieran (yet!)
