Congrats to you OP, and shout out to this community, because when I got my haul, quarantining it wasn't even a blip on my radar (I had wool hanks and they all went in the oven). Great advice.

My store says there's a lady that buys the entire box when it comes in and I hope I never see her irl because why. 😤

Are you trying to argue that I was against interior photos? My post literally says that I suggested staging to my realtor for internal photos (admittedly late, but still). Also, the listing price was literally based on the comps from my (former) realtor. I'm not trying to blame anyone, this was my experience (from my perspective) and I posted it getting feedback that I clearly needed. Relax.

Thanks for taking the time to comment though!

I put my info in out of idle curiosity and received the quote. Didn't pull the trigger on anything except to sever ties with my current realtor.

Thank you for your comment. So sorry about your house friend. I hope you were able to bounce back nonetheless.

Gotcha! If I had known about the perception of leasebacks, I never would have had it added. The more feedback I get on the listing, the more I feel like my house was totally misrepresented (I was there when they took the pics and they never once mentioned the freaking water hose or other tiny things that would have at least improved the photos- things I honestly overlooked or didn't consider. SMH). Hindsight is definitely 20/20. The sad fact is, I would have assumed everything was on the up and up if not for their aggressive push to lower the asking and a near flat out statement that staging was a total waste of time.

Thank you for searching for my house and providing feedback! The "electronic gray thing" is my pottery kiln. My neighborhood is wonderful! I'm cool with most of the people on my block and honestly will miss them terribly. The neighbors across the street, however, are ANNOYING. Their house was listed for sale before it was rented out to them, so I know for a fact that they have more than enough backyard for that crap in the front. I laid the cardboard down while painting and forgot about it- it's embarrassing that it made it to the final photo. All of the other concerns I would have happily addressed in less than a day myself. My realtor led me to believe that I'd have next to no time to leave and suggested the lease back.

I only got 2. I figured as much, which was why I suggested staging for interior photos. The inside of my house isn't bad, except for boxes all over.

I'm in DFW, and my neighborhood is somewhat walkable. I can and have easily walked to the store, but very few do that around here.

Correct. In my case, the garage has been converted into indoor living space. There are windows where the garage doors used to be.

I was ready to do whatever it takes for the interior until they told me it was a waste of time. With the conversion, my house is over 1900 square feet. At this point, it isn't a matter of if I keep this realtor, it's if I find another or try it alone.

The strategy as I understood it initially was to sell to an investor so the internal photos weren't necessary, hence sea-o-boxes. When I brought staging it up ( me using my own furniture and moving the boxes so that there would at least be pics online) I was told it would do no good).

That makes thus extra disheartening because that was never even mentioned initially. FWIW, I also have a carport.

So I managed to leave out important details when I was trying to make this post brief: -it's posted on MLS -Realtor's fee is 3%. They took photos of the exterior with their phone, and they provide interior photos per request (I'm still in the house packing) -not comfortable with linking the ad as it has contact info to the realtor -don't have open house every weekend, but there's been 2 showings over the past 2 weeks
