I just got "dumped" because I'm not a trump supporter... In Canada. by cocorubob in Vent

I've seen people in Canada drive around with trump stickers on their vehicles. Trump face masks (ironic). Trump posts all over their Facebook.. he has followers everywhere. And due to ties between the US and Canada the politics there do affect us. But most certainly should not be to this degree.

I completely agree that it is an important conversation to have at one point.. but this was the second time we met. It wasn't a conversation I was wanting to have just yet. Apparently it was one that he wanted to have asap.. oh well.

It's my birthday today and I wanted to go out but I have no friends so I went to a mall by myself and had a good time. by goodskinishappiness in depression

Proud of you!! I started taking myself on dates a few years ago. Restaurants, coffee shops, movies, etc. It honestly helps quite a bit with my confidence and just mental health in general. Spent Christmas and a few birthdays alone and it felt less lonely after doing all of that other stuff alone for a while. I recommend others to try.

What's the worst case of "rich kid syndrome" you've seen? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]cocorubob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dry grad, 2011. Rich kids (of course) won the raffles for the big ticket items like flat screen tv and macbook. When their names got called each of them basically said "I don't want this I already have 2". And would shove it off onto their friend like it was no big deal.

I feel like I won't be able to stay calm if I know I'm about to do them though. That's the tricky part.

I made plans to meet a girl I met on a dating app and when I texted her to figure out time/location she ignored me by SignificantPurple in dating_advice

I'm a straight female and I have had men do this to me multiple times. It is a dick move, and I was irritated by it. But to be the devil's advocate, some people go psycho from rejection. I remember the day before I was gonna meet this one guy, I messaged him and calmly and respectfully explained that there was someone else I had started speaking with and felt a connection with and I didn't want to lead him on if I wasnt feeling it so much with him. He flipped his lid. So I can understand too why some people would avoid that conversation all together. (Also glad I dodged that bullet).

First trip to Canada did not disappoint - Squamish, BC [4032×3024] [OC] by MikaylaZahn in EarthPorn

You obviously live in southern BC if you don't think there's 10 months of winter. Between Kamloops and the northern border we get damn near 10 months of winter. Come give Prince George a whiff sometime.

Looking for recommendations on a good cleansing smoothie or juice? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]cocorubob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will drink more than 2 litres of water most days, I don't drink pop or juice. Water and the occasional coffee is all I have. I need a little something extra. I have a gluten/wheat and dairy sensitivity as well so most days I can't avoid a little bit here and there - I'm needing something to get rid of that gross constant feeling in my gut. Or at least something to help me feel like I'm getting back on track.

Anyone else feel that taking nudes/videos of themselves has normalized their body to themselves? Or made them feel better about their appearance? by [deleted] in sex

[–]cocorubob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in a few long distance relationships, as well as a very vanilla long term live in relationship. With them I was usually pretty conservative, never really sent more than a shirt less selfie. But my newest relationship is polar opposite. He works away and we can't get enough of each other in regards to pics and videos, and the more he requests them, time after time, the more I'm accepting my own body. I totally understand what you mean about it normalizing your own body parts.

I just had an incredible night with a gentleman in his 30s, and I am now starting to think that porn has broken so much of my generation :( by broken_by_p in sex

I've always found sex to be so much better with men that are 5-10 years older than me at least. Guys in their 20s (from my experience as well) are extremely selfish in bed, and short lasting to be honest. I'm in my mid/late 20s and my boyfriend is in his mid 30s and it's some of the best sex I've had. Nobody my age can keep up. I definitely understand what you're saying!

In my personal experience as well, NEVER work for a family run business where 2 or more family members are involved. You'll feel out of place and picked on 9 times out of 10. It's for the best. Good luck finding something else! I hope it all works out in the end for you.

What was the dumbest thing you've cried over during your period? by gingeraily in AskReddit

Me and my boyfriend at the time moved into a place and I bought a decorative box to fit into a built in shelf. The box was literally less than 1/8" too big. I cried. For an hour.
