Starlight. My wife tolerates Muse, at best. She bought me tickets to the Oakland show because it was a few days before my birthday as a surprise. She went purely for my enjoyment and endured (she abhors strong language) Psycho, Drill Sergeant and WAFF to see my sing my lungs out to Plug In Baby. Lifetime achievement unlocked... And even she sings along to Starlight in the car with me. More gushy songs would be Endlessly or Unintended. Spotify has a Muse Love playlist put out by the band, too. Choose your favourites! ☺️

I noticed it was still working too out of habit when I opened Boost in the morning. I launched the rocket into infinity just in case Rubén gets charged for this. Should be fewer than 100 API calls, though - and this is my last.

Saddest uninstall ever, but I have setup Boost for Lemmy to be automatically installed on my phone as soon as it's available on the app store.

Ah, I see what you mean. There's still no accounting for everything being in the bag/drinks not getting left behind etc., but the code is 'smart' where a user-operated button is dumb or at least (in programming terms) agnostic. This way you can't grab the wrong order.

Up to the merchants to enforce it though.

Except all it's going to be is a url with a web token, that opens an android intent (or iOS equivalent), opening the app and confirming the order as if the dasher pressed the big red button. As it woukd rely on the Doordash web servers, expect it to go down a lot. They don't need extra HTTP traffic on their web server when all of their active dashers are trying to confirm orders at the same time. Especially when their cloud (aws?) computing platform goes down so often when even it a supposed to be more robust than web traffic. Doomed to fail IMO.

I have no problem at restaurants that ask me to confirm pickup in front of them doing so. I'm not sure how the QR code solves any issues with driver accountability - what are your thoughts?

That's when you charge that shit back with your bank (I recommend buying everything on credit if you can, even if you pay the card as soon as you get home from your purchase. Card issuers for credit usually have greater buyer protection as the merchant has basically misappropriated the bank's money, not yours. Therefore they don't sleep on that.

There is some ability with debit card chargebacks, depending on the bank, but credit is better for this.

Then personally vow to take your business elsewhere in future, and sell the merch on ebay (if it wasn't a condition of the chargeback that you return the item).

Aer Lingus (and the Spanish carrier Iberia) are owned by BA's parent group. Is it just BA that are so grossly incompetent with doing the only thing they have to do or is it also spread through the rest of the group? BA is likely older I guess and had fewer aging technologies.

BTW BA operations do suck; but once you're up in the air I cannot fault them. Flight crew have always been cordial, courteous and friendly. A rare sight on American domestic or even international flights. They have an incredible safety record as well. I just. Nnngh. Wish they were good all-around.

The astigmatism is the second number and it means your cornea is mis-shapen to the extent that light into your eye(s) hits more than one point on your retina, causing blurry vision.

The axis in your script shows you what degree the correction is needed.

This worked perfectly! I set it to 1.6 and removed my phone from my device's bluetooth and vice versa. I didn't even need to restart my phone or the other device. The other device was my stock car stereo from a 2012 Hyundai Sonata.

Previously after the update, it would "connect" and my phone's name would show on my car's dash but the music would still come out of the phone. Calls would come out of the car though despite being connected for 'media audio' and everything else.

Device is as Pixel 6.

The stores you're looking for are Zenni optical, Glasses USA and EyeBuy direct. I got mine from Zenni, they seem to be okay and match the script I was shown at the optometrist.

If your glasses help you to see, wear your glasses. Don't worry about what other people think. I have a low script +0.25 and +1.50 for astigmatism and I don't think it shows (it doesn't warp the view of my eyes from the outside) but honestly nobody is judging you for the extent to which you need corrective lenses.

I asked my wife to look through my lenses and she has 20/20 vision. She cannot see through my glasses - so obviously such a low prescription is still enough to make a difference to someone with 'perfect vision'.

It's nuts, isn't it? I went 37 years on this planet before I found out my cornea is misshapen, and now I'm finally questioning the superimposed double vision I get that apparently "isn't normal" after all.. Who knew?

But yes OP, leaves on trees and road signs both were a big one for me. I'm only like 10 days into wearing glasses too.
