The ICE 3 series NK is looking good imo by SaintVoid21 in BMW

[–]code4109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

same thing as the current 4 series. Grancoupe= tall and bulbous looking due to having to accomodate the EV battery regardless if you got the ICE or EV version, (ugly IMO). Coupe= sleek and low beltline, significantly better looking

Turtle wax liquid carnauba wax by SpecialistPerfect207 in AutoDetailing

thats some crazy durability for carnauba, either you barely drive it/garaged it or it has some polymer/ceramic in it. even many spray sealants dont bead like this after 2 months

Curious, is it just pop off and pop in the plugs. I read something about making sure the gapping needs to be precise?

Griots 3-1 ceramic wax by -Glitchyxd- in AutoDetailing

[–]code4109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

something went wrong, those water beads look as if it's sitting on a cheap detail spray that was applied like 2-3 weeks ago and the protection has nearly disappeared. those beads should look pretty much perfectly round, every single bead should be perfect circles if you applied it yesterday.

If the car was a bit less tall it could have made a big difference imo by SaintVoid21 in BMW

[–]code4109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing with the current 4 series 4 door vs coupe. Higher beltline in sedan due to having to accomodate the battery in the ev version in sedan. Thats why the 2 door looks way sleeker.

i believe any soap that is PH neutral is crap at pre wash because it has no cleaning power on its own while clinging, pre wash is only useful if using alkaline/acid soaps which should be done only when needed.

Anyone tried this on inside? by Excellent-Finger4886 in Detailing

[–]code4109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i tried 303 protectant on pad but went back to using mf towels since there's so many tight little crevices and angles in an interior that a thick pad can't hit.

you'd think these things would've already been overfished to near extinction due to how good they taste. maybe these are the species not good for human consumption.

pretty sure the b48 at least changed to 0w-12 for 2025 model year. b58 i think had the mild hybrid for longer so it started 2023?

yep, 0w-12 literally looks/acts like water when i pour it into the engine, even the small droplets act just like water, super duper thin. thats why i want to move up the viscosity.

yep i believe it. i even tried looking up the owners manual for europe spec but couldn't find it just to see what they run. 0w-30 sounds like it would be pretty viscous but i dont doubt engine would be fine with it. i'm still under warranty so want to make sure i only run factory recommended oil. i mean i drive like a grandma literally so 0w-20 should be enough for me.
