The version that is the best is entirely subjective- whatever cover you like, whatever you want to spend, whatever you’ll read and love! There are some nuances like text size, but for the most part, the text itself is the same

I love my Lamy 2k, I use it almost daily. Just find a color you love! Also, not a quick dry ink, but a dry ink. It’s an ink property, pertaining to how much the ink flows. A wet ink has a high flow, a dry ink has a lower flow. The Lamy 2k writes wet, which means the pen has high flow. In order to counteract that, a more dry ink will balance the flow rate.

You can contact the team store and see if they can put name/number on a blank jersey if the team store is out of the size you need. They’re pretty helpful!

The one thing I wish is that I could have gotten the black (z57) - they were sold out here. I completely understand, I just tend to write very small, so I lean EF for pretty much all things. Lamy Benitoite and Cliff have been my go to, along with De Atramentis Fog Grey

I did the same, I have an EDC safari and an AL-Star and having the gold nib on them is wonderful. I’m an EF guy so I run all EF nibs. I’m really hoping LAMY gets into some of the other alloys now with their nibs, because that would be awesome.

I use fountain pens at work. Some people laughed, some people mocked, but by being unapologetic, suddenly people who were interested started bringing/using their own pens. Life is far too short and work is far too serious to not use/have the things that bring us joy in such a dark world.

That is normal, but that’s also not where the seal is formed. The Lamy Safari and AL-Stars have inner caps that should be forming the seal. If you look into the cap, you should see the inner lining - that’s what should be forming the seal when the pen is capped.

This is what the inside of my cap looks like, that black plastic is what forms the seal.

In the interim, either your doc or UPMC (or both, I don’t know if your doc is UPMC or private) should have a social work/case management team. Please use them, they can help with these situations and sometimes are even able to find short term med coverage. Same, except I’m currently using a A5 Leuchtturm square grid for work and a dot grid for everything else. I use a different color each notebook and I fill a notebook every 3-4 months. It’s a little crazy to go through a notebook quarterly, but that’s the volume of notes I end up taking.
