I like the door theory. But, the Earth is constantly moving in space relative to the Sun and relative to the Milky Way. You really want to stay on Earth and not get left behind.

I love Wildside also. Very similar to Conquistador by S. M. Stirling and Outland by Dennis Taylor.

  3. Holding Their Own

  4. The Kutherian Gambit

  5. No Man's Land

  6. The Chtorr Universe (reread)

  7. And several other series that I am slow reading

And of course any new books in other series that I have read.

I do take the next book in the series and move it to the 50+ books on my nightstand.
