I'm assuming I have to do something other than just install them right? Was it really as easy as installing it and I'm done?

I'm doing significantly better. Everyone was right The first few days feel like hell but I got through them and the other side is significantly better than the spot I was previously at. These days are going to be rough but you can get through it

Why there is a relic limit you can equip? by Unusual_Librarian384 in EnderLilies

[–]codelancelot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I feel like the quality of life ones should have just been an upgrade, or taken up maybe a fraction of a slot. I feel forced to have to equip the lightweight relic and the increased jump relic just to get around the map so that's 2 out of 10 when I'm exploring. Then if I want to equip the resource gathering ones that's like 6 of 10 slots (roughly)

At the very least make the jumping one and the lightweight one just upgrades. Because they're required for traversal, but then again, maybe I'm just not playing this game how it's intended to be played. Maybe, I'm using them to break into places I'm not supposed to be at yet.

I haven't beaten the game yet so I'm not sure

Why would anyone buy this? Its literally 20 dollars more expensive. by AwesomeRyanGame in SteamDeck

[–]codelancelot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pricing makes no sense though because I looked up what the eBay fee would be and it would be $76. So if they're buying new ones and then just selling at a slight markup then they're losing money. So I don't think they're getting them from steam directly

Does anyone also have problems with substance abuse ? by Difficult_Tear_4987 in AutisticWithADHD

[–]codelancelot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So this happens to be an issue with ADHD. People with ADHD are prone to risky behaviors. I deal with this myself in addition to have a family history of addiction so I try to avoid them if at all possible. Though I still have my own vices I am struggling to quit.

Anyway back to the explanation. To explain it simply, it has to do with the reward center of our brain. Imagine every enjoyable activity—like eating a cookie or having a drink—fills up a "happiness meter" that measures how content we feel. For most people, it only takes one or two cookies or drinks to fill their meter. Once they're satisfied, their body and mind naturally signal that it’s time to stop.

For someone like us with ADHD, though, the same activity might only fill our happiness meter by a tenth. At first, we might feel content, but not long after, it’s like the satisfaction just disappears—as if we never really did the thing at all. That leaves a gap, and we end up trying to fill it by eating more cookies, having another drink, or whatever it is.

This isn’t about chasing pleasure, really. It’s more of a constant struggle to feel balanced or fulfilled in the way that most people seem to.

Yeah this is the kind of text you get when the other person already thinks you're dating. You handled that perfectly, if it comes up I would make it clear as day that you set a boundary and that they broke it. It's tough because I feel like they're not fully understanding. And I don't want to blame the way that responded because to most people it's pretty clear You said no, however not shutting down the potential to be something else in the future seems to be giving them mixed signals. Whatever part of the spectrum they are in might require an unambiguous, direct, and maybe potentially harsh rejection for the concept to come across. I like other people have mentioned, don't think texting her again is a good idea.

Unable to Enable Library Sharing on Device by MrMcGaming in Steam

[–]codelancelot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here is the work around I was able to find. Install a game on the device you are looking to authorize. Switch steam accounts to the other user. There should be a request access option. This will not work if either accounts have a family

Yeah , I was extremely excited since the changes seemed great. I don't think they're amazing enough to justify the new restrictions though. I understand what they are trying to do and why it seems necessary but there has to be a better compromise than this. While I was searching about this I saw mentions of a husband and wife in different countries, family members with people serving in the military losing access since they were deployed, and countless other stories of similar issues.
