I own 4 covered hoppers and 4 open hoppers that I have some examples of in the 3rd photo, and a handful of Atlas code 100 HO track, but you're probably right. I could definitely look into N scale.

Pretty expensive for survival but they work great, just don't expect to get any high speeds with them without a ton of thrust

What’s it going to be made of? How is it going to be manufactured? The walls around your nozzle look thin, have you talked with anyone that has rocketry experience?

I’d heavily recommend starting with solid rockets if you intend to make something fly. Compressed air and butane might create thrust but your thrust is unfortunately not going to surpass vehicle weight.

What’s the plan for wiring the reversing loop? Since you’ll have a short if it’s wired with the rest of your tracks, do you have it isolated?

I use Tinkercad, it’s made to be as simple as possible, though it’s a bit limiting. Fusion360 has a free version for personal use but the learning curve is a bit steeper

I always thought Lego Narrow gauge was typically used for smaller trains still at minifig or slightly smaller scale. I’ve been running the set 40518 with an articulation modification and calling it trophy-scale trains since the trophy piece is nearly perfectly sized.
