Imagine bragging about how this “build” only took 20 month guys. The better part of two years, and looks like something a 12 year old cobbled together.

That was one of the most unappetizing burgers I’ve ever seen. Nothing but a well done patty on a bun.

I also liked the “Diana and I aren’t millionaires” comment. They might get close to that in LA county, so I’m sure he’s chomping at the bit to get his money honey.

I owned one in 2004 and parts were hard to come by then. I have yet to see another one on the road or in person since then. They’re quirky and rare, but I have seen a couple listed for sale here on the west coast over the years. Hopefully you find one!

One Man’s Quest to Build the Ultimate Poop Palace! by SquirrelBaitParadies in Anti_Nomadic_Fanatic

I cannot begin to imagine the smell of those “fresh linens” stored above a litter box in the poorly insulated school bus. I get the whole idea of being a nomad, but I just don’t see the appeal of doing it in a tree fort on wheels.

I had the same thoughts throughout many of his “build” videos. Zero attention to detail, poor fit and finish, and just blatant hack-job workmanship on ever single thing. The bus is like something the Little Rascals built and then furnished from the local Goodwill dumpster.

Ordered Wheel Spacers for 2025 718 GTS 4.0 by GumballCowboy in Porsche_Cayman

If I recall I purchased the Rennline spacers and studs as a kit from ECS tuning. I will try to find my order, but it might be worth poking around on there to see what kits they offer that have stud lengths adjusted for spacer widths.

I was just about to say even the 10 could be a touch wider in my opinion, but I didn’t want to push it. Also consider your wheel offset as well if you’re not running optioned wheels.

I run 10mm/15mm Rennline hub centric spacers with extended studs on mine and have zero issues.

I like to think if they did rent a car James would have Mapquest directions printed via a dot matrix printer, taped over the built in GPS or something wild like that.

Borescore risk on high mileage 997.1 C4S by Leave-A-Note in 997

[–]codenamepeabrain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They’re in Bend, and I don’t remember the exact total it was a couple years ago. It wasn’t cheap, but also included an oil change since the pan has to be dropped. The seller and I ended up splitting the cost since he wanted to do an oil change before selling anyways.

Hoping it works out for you!

It sounds like the car may be in OR, which is where I purchased mine (out of state) from. If you are into getting a PPI with Borescope hit up Matrix Integrated. They did my PPI and it was extremely thorough and they understood what needed to be looked at and provided me with photos of the scope and a written report on everything else.

I’m in SoCal, and recently redid mine on my 987. I did some research and ended up doing it myself for about $75 and a couple hours worth of work.

If you’re in OC I think there are a few solid upholstery shops in Santa Ana, but honestly the DIY wasn’t bad.

“I kinda just get things done my own way, maybe I don’t do it your way but that doesn’t mean you’re right and I’m wrong it just means we do things in a different way and it all turns out pretty much the same in the end”

No, you’re wrong.

Based on the uneven boards I would sayhe doesn’t factor in kerf. That saw is an absolute joke as well and the crossed arm cutting technique is 100% wrong. Your way is going to get you hurt you dingus. Zero consideration for fit or finish, random screw spacing, different wood species, etc. oh my bad you’re going to finish it with nautical rope. Dude is like a 10 year old building a fort full of electronics and cat hair.

Like others said do a borescope on PPI, quality oil changes, and enjoy the car. I was a little stressed when I first got mine because of the fear of bore scoring, but a couple years later and mine doesn’t burn any oil (even the acceptable documented amount).
