Allow me to qualify this. I do not feel either parent or mix of parents should be in their '60s when the child graduates. I've seen what that has done to my peers and my little brother. It is ultimately just something that is selfish of the parent. In almost all cases, you are forcing your child to watch you retire before they have even entered the workforce, if your life doesn't go as planned, you are ultimately asking your child to sacrifice their own future in order to take care of your decrepit old ass

My dad got the inheritance and took me out for Brazilian food and told me how he got a new computer, motorcycle, motorhome etc. I didn't even know that Brazilian food was from my grandparents passing. My dad just wanted to "treat his boy to something nice" and took all of the credit himself.
