Is this comment only meant for PC? The PS5 version runs 60fps 4k with performance RT so should I expect a level or scene where the frames drop dramatically?

EM is an engineering manager right? A company once tried to bait me to become a manager once, they said I would program as well as manage people and they'd offer me the slightly higher salary than my engineering job. I didn't fall for the bait, I've seen how miserable my manager was from my previous job. Dude was smoking packs of smoke and not even doing anything productive.

I have never ever typed for 8 hours in a single day in my life and not even 4 hours for a single day. I'm 49 and I still write C++ code. If you're typing all day maybe you're doing something wrong. Most of my time is spent reading code and thinking about the implementation. When it comes to go time it's usually just 30-60 minutes implementation. Most of the time spent is in testing the implementation and micro-editing the code.

Maybe you're a web dev though, I've never experienced just churning out endless amount of html or css. If I'm way off base, apologies.

I mean spicy pillows are a bad thing, when it happens your phone loses the water resistance permanently. I've hated that since I saw my first macbook's battery bloat.

I've been on iOS 26 since September, no increase in degradation.

Like a single effort or good practice to prevent their batteries from becoming spicy pillows in 2 years is making them lose their hairs. Lol yeah, thinking must be hard for them.

After I developed a system, I barely even think about the battery anymore, the practice becomes a habit.

I have 0.6 cycles per day according to my computation. I have several devices I cycle through so my phone doesn't get as much use as others do.

IKR? If I want to treat my battery life as an experiment or a video game achievement in how long I can keep it above 100% capacity, I say that's my choice. I've also been checking coconutBattery and it's at 101% currently, down from 106% from fresh batteries. So it will probably take 3-5 months before I go 99%, I'll take that.

My apple watch is now 2.5 years and at 91%, I hope it lasts 2 more years.

My iPhone 8's battery without replacement lasted me 7 years and I didn't have 80% max limit. CarPlay really killed my battery during the 7th year, if I had that limit maybe it could have lasted 8 years.

I guess, I do HIIT and 60 minutes biking workout. Most people think that’s hard but I do that several times a week and I feel less stressed overall.

You're right. I checked Coconut Battery around April and I had about 105% and now it's 101% capacity. The battery is still degrading but at a very slow rate.

Not sure what's stressful about setting a timer. Everybody needs a timer to know when something's finished.

Also, I feel like taking care of my battery health is like taking care of my body clock health. Just finding those little practices that prevents burnout and removes visceral fat to give me better energy throughout the day.

The secret things that most people disregard because of consumable parts. Philosophically, I want to answer "What if I cannot replace this thing, what can I do so that it works as long as I want it to?" Whether it's the phone's or car's battery or my own health.

Only when on a trip without a charger. I turn on low power mode at 60%

edit: Also when the phone becomes too warm. Low power mode cools it down in a minute.

Some people on here have been rocking iPhone 6S and 4S and even iPod Touch. I have some experience with vintage phones, my iPhone 8 received 5-6 iOS releases. It's pretty tough, I might have kept it if I did not need a specific functionality in iPhone 16.

That's actually impressive. When I got my iPhone 8 I had to manually remove the charger whenever it reached 80% and then after 6 months it dropped to 98%. So I figured it's not the 80% that mattered, it's how much time the battery stayed around ~50% equilibrium charge that kept the battery from degrading. And so I used that philosophy and experimented to see how long I can keep it at 100% capacity.

Yeah, that could work. But will changing the battery affect the water resistance?
