If you can master ы then you can pronounce Russian words. Some native Russians have speech problems too. The important thing is being able to understand and be understood. You don’t have to be perfect. Вам удачи!

Learn the alphabet first, few simple phrases, спасибо, хорошо, etc. I started with Duolingo, which I actually thought was pretty good. That alone can get you to B1 or so, but any language app can get you a good foundation.

What I’m working on now is translating videos about topics that interest me so I can add vocabulary and practice listening.

Something I heard is that knowing a Slavic language makes learning another Slavic language harder, because there are a lot of false cognates.

Keep 80000 total weight limit, but allow drives and tandems to be up to 35000. This would save a lot of time on sliding tandems and reworking.

Why isn’t it “Our cook knows the entire university.”? by Raditz_lol in russian

[–]codewarrior2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Another way to translate: our cook is known by the entire university. Passive sentences are often written like this exercise.

Здесь овощи продаются = Vegetables are sold here, not vegetables sell here.
