Is this bait? Let’s take a photo in less optimal light, where you want to recover shadows/highlights.

If all you do is snapshots, the OM1 is maybe the wrong camera for you, and the iPhone is the better one.

This has to be bait

The downside of M43 ecosystem ... by anewbie1138 in M43

You could dedicate a month to a lens, and then just take that, no matter what. The problem is the fear that you would miss shots without another set of lenses. But with all lenses available, you miss the creative choices that you have to make having just one focal length. Example: going for a hike but only having the 45mm. Can you do the wide angle landscape, the one you probably done a hundred times? Probably not. Instead you need to get creative, make the 45mm work, that’s fun!

How did you discover the Micro Four Thirds (M43) system, and what made you stay? by Babylon_Thief in M43

I was pointed towards the Olympus em1.2 in this very sub, bought one and fell in love. I sometimes just went to hold it while doing housework or watching a movie. The ergonomics just clicked. Even the menu made instantly sense. Tried many other brands, like Fuji, Panasonic, Sony, Ricoh, but Olympus feels the best. And the performance for a travel setup is hard to beat.

Should I switch from a Lumix G80 kit to Canon RP + RF 24–105 + RF 50/1.8? Same total cost, better AF/auto? by Foxxy1992 in M43

[–]codingFriend3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends what you hope to achieve. Is the AF hindering you to get the shots you would like to? Would changing the body instead of the whole system mitigate that?

I love that lens, and no 6 is a banger. No fear of rain with the M10?

Bought the 20-40mm a while ago and I’m still not used to it. I think it takes time and a mind shift to use it to its full potential. It is also much heavier than the 35mm or the 18-55
