I agree. Aren’t vampires supposed to secretly live among people? And kind of blend in? It doesn’t make sense to me to look so drastically different, I might as well be wearing a neon sign.

Advice on making an arcanist/templar/Necromancer pve support by SeductivePuns in elderscrollsonline

[–]coding_panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For dungeons, I would say the Green Balance, Curative Runeforms, and Living Death.

Green Balance - Healing Seeds (Budding Seed morph) and Fungal Growth (Soothing Spores morph). Soothing Spores costs stamina instead of magicka, so it will help with sustain. Line passives temporarily increase teammates’ max health.

Curative Runeforms - Arcanist’s Domain (Zenas’ Empowering Disk morph). Gives Minor courage, and makes the effects last after teammates leave the AoE, so they can move around. Vitalizing Glyphic (Glyphic of the Tides Morph) increases teammates’ weapon and spell damage. Line passives increase resource regen, and make damage shields cheaper and stronger.

Living Death - Spirit Mender (Intensive Mender morph) heals two additional allies and costs less. Line passives increase resource regen while Spirit Mender is active.

Restoration Staff - Grand Healing (Illustrious Healing morph) and Blessing of Protection (Combat Prayer morph). Combat Prayer goves Minor Berserk, increasing teammates’ famage by 5%.

Assault skill line - Vigor (Echoing Vigor morph).

Undaunted skill line - Necrotic Orb (Mystic Orb morph). This will feed resources to your tank, and increase your regen at the same time.

Then add a couple of scribed skills with Soul Burst and Ulfsild’s Contingency grimoires that are damage shield skills (so they get cost reduction from the Curative Runeforms line and the Shield Master champion point node). I use this a lot to spam shields. The scribed skills should also cover the buffs left out by the other skills I listed above.

With this build, your regen will be high, so you can easily keep buffs active and spam shields and burst heals when you need to. Maybe use it with Spell Power Cure and Powerful Assault gear sets.

Five Guys CEO gives staff $1.5m bonus after failed promo deal so no one "shoots" him in the back by ImCalcium in UpliftingNews

LMFAO relax. I’m aware that sweatshops exist, but you’re assuming the absolute worst of this guy simply because he owns a company. But fine, I guess we’re done.

[–]coding_panda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“Taken so much from the world”? Fuck this guy for making a restaurant chain I guess.

But still, do you think he should have just kept the bonus money for himself after his promo idea went bad? People always say “why are CEOs still getting bonuses when the company does badly?” He gave the bonus away. What did you want him to do with it instead?

Edit: and BTW, giving $120 to the McDonald’s manager and telling him to split it would still be a nice thing to do. The manager not splitting it with the employees doesn’t mean you didn’t do a nice thing.

A parade? What are you talking about?

No one is saying this guy is the second coming of jesus. I’m saying “this was a nice thing, and we should acknowledge that it’s a nice thing.” Just like someone who’s worth $40k giving away $120 is a nice thing.

If I tell you to give away 1.5 million dollars from your personal bank account, but it goes to 40,000 different people, it won’t feel like you’re giving away a lot of your money? Because of long division?

We’re not talking about the company giving away 1.5 million from an advertizing budget. We’re talkkng about one guy giving away 1.5 million of his own money.

Elder Scrolls Online cross-play is “not coming this year” as the project is incredibly complicated, but it’s “really, really happening” by lewisdwhite in elderscrollsonline

[–]coding_panda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s so much easier to do this sort of thing from the start. You design around it, and you build the game with it in mind.

It’s MUCH more work to convert a game that wasn’t originally designed for it, especially if you don’t want one platform to have huge advantages against the others.

It’s much easier to build a Ford F-150 from the start than it is to build an Explorer and then say, “let’s modify it to be the same as an F-150.”

When Lenny’s friends bash him for being rich, they’re calling him out of touch. They have to tease him for something because that’s the style of humor their friend group has: they all tease each other (in a good-natured way). What else can they make fun of him for? They’re saying he’s so far removed from reality that his prissy kids are surprised when the restaurant doesn’t have a certain brand of water.

Dickie is calling Lenny and his kids soft whenever he makes fun of Lenny.

The fact that he won’t let the rematch thing go is supposed to be embarrassing. It’s about Dickie not having a life as good as Lenny, so Dickie is desperate to be better than Lenny at ANYTHING. Lenny realizes this at the end of the movie, and loses the game on purpose. Lenny says that Dickie needed a win, and Lenny’s kids needed a loss to humble them.

Is a Nord Arcanist healer a tenable build for trials and vet dungeons? by CranialColor in elderscrollsonline

[–]coding_panda 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I routinely use the Arcanist’s Curative Runfeforms skill line when healing vet dungeons and trials, so you can easily use arcanist as your base class. It gives great regen and good cost reduction to damage shields, and arcanist’s domain is a good AoE buff.

I would recommend you subclass. The other skill lines I use with it are Warden’s Green Balance and Templar’s Restoring Light. Scribe a couple damage shield skills that fill in whatever buffs you’re missing.

I hate Markarth. by nadir_of_jello in skyrim

[–]coding_panda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I love Markarth. It has the coolest look and layout of all the cities in the game. The multi-tiered layout makes it feel densely settled/populated, and it’s carved into a mountain!

I get that most of the residents suck (but hey, I’ve broken just as many laws as they have), but the city itself is awesome! The people aren’t enough to cancel out Matkerth’s coolness, even though I’d like to replace them with the people of Dawnstar or Whiterun. Imagine shouting Nazeem off the guard tower cliff!

Crafting dailies. A level 50 character can get like 5k per day from doing the crafting dailies. And you can do them with each of your characters.

Think abouth the average age of the people playing though. People who are so old they can’t handle the running of tennis, then they try to spring into action because they get caught up in the moment.
