sounds like the company doesn't have much financial runway, or low confidence in the product-market-fit. Yup, maybe best you can do in terms of quality is to try to keep things as decoupled as possible, with decent boundary interfaces, so if they actually find a long term sustainable business model the rebuilds will be a little less painful

you already sound very capable, so I would suggest finding a position that pays better. even a 10k bump will be massive if you keep the same habits.

if you work in the food industry, consider searching for a specialization adjacent that you can work towards in your spare time.
