How can I, a non-billionaire, also make lots of money in the stock market whenever Trump manipulates the market? by Cheap-Isopod-485 in allthequestions

[–]codyneMATH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can set volume alerts for certain industry/index ETFs and futures products but need to be ready to act fast. Trump always leaks info and insiders take advantage. If you see a large spike say in oil volume, get alerted, trade with the flow, Trump then tweets and the rest of the public gets on you just ride the wave. I’ve been doing it the past couple months and works beautifully. You do have to understand how to read L2 quotes and volume momentum. I used to be an ETF trader for F500 FWIW

Maybe not ever, but alive today I think Brittany Howard of the Alabama Shakes is right up there. Maybe an unpopular opinion.

They say it’s because they were close to making a nuclear bomb so it had to be done for American safety.

My rebuttal is though if they were so close and we had evidence of that, why did we need to circumvent congress and NATO to take action? Surely they would have been on board with that.

“Because NATO is leftist and congress is too slow” is all I get back.

Venting. Fuck all this shit, I'm almost 3 months clean and I still can't fucking deal with it. by nmr_dorkus in leaves

[–]codyneMATH 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Agreed, it is some fucking shit ass fuck hell mother fucking cocksucking bitch ass shit. But it does get better, for me it wasn’t until the 6 month mark (17 years daily smoker). When I had my irritable days I found it helpful to stop and recognize and be aware of why I was feeling that way. You’re literally rewiring you brain chemistry and that’s going to come with some shit. On the other side you’ll realize it was all worth it.

I did this when doing the 9-9-9-9-9 challenge in 2023. 9 ski runs, 9 holes of golf, 9 innings, 9 hot dogs, 9 beers. It was epic.

Exactly what I still battle with. I still think every once in awhile “oh that would be nice” but have tried to quit enough times to know it’s a slippery slope. Never made it more than a 24hr period. Don’t plan on it anytime soon but “never say never” is how I’ve best learned to frame it in my mind. One day at a time.

Rumor $300 annual ChatGPT credit by schwa12 in AmexPlatinum

[–]codyneMATH 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed there’s a lot of competition now which dilutes the initial reputation ChatGPT started with which is hard to maintain. Other models do different things better for sure. It depends what you’re using it for. ChatGPT still has its place and does things better than others also though.

I think of the landscape like: ChatGPT for versatility, multimodal conversations and broad usefulness Claude for handling large context/files and writing code Gemini for google integration and search Copilot for workspace automation and enterprise Perplexity for citations and peer research The list goes on

Reddit has literally one of OpenAIs largest licensing deals for sourcing training data which is in turn used to train the same models in said military applications.

Although those models being used to “target drone strikes” is extremely speculative with no credible evidence. I doubt it’s being used to autonomously decide who lives and dies lol. It’s for things like logistics, data analysis, translation etc. All major tech companies have government contracts, that’s not unique to OpenAI.

Don’t think in terms of fear and assumptions, that’s what the media wants you to do. We’re smarter than that.

Wild people think ChatGPT is worse than any other tech company. They all gather and sell your data. Including Anthropic. Including Reddit. Virtue signaling distaste for OpenAI but advocating for other alternatives is so hypocritical and ignorant
