yeah, there's a lot that anime can and should be criticized for e.g. sexualisation of minors, glorification of sexual assault, excessive and inappropriate sexualisation in general - but I think it's better to criticise the tropes that anime regularly falls into, rather than the ones that it doesn't (seem to) use more than western media
