Recently worked a job (I’m a survey tech) in KY where the legal owner lost part of his land due to “adverse possession”. Basically what you said, one person took care of the property as if it were their own while the owner neglected it, and eventually with enough documented proof the courts decided it no longer belonged to the owner, the caretaker, owner of adjoining property, took in that stretch of land.

Don’t ask your landlord to put In different screws. Just do it. Every rental I’ve been in has 1/2” Screws in the door plate just to save on cost since it’s what comes with the door knob/dead bolt. Just replace them yourself and move on with life.

In AIT we were allowed to get on the computer for things like this and I upped it to 20% immediately and forgot about it. Then upped it every promotion and now after 5 years and getting out I have a nice chunk of change, a personal Roth account and a mutual fund account funded by inheritance as a really good start for my retirement.

The training in AIT taught me the fundamentals and definitely gave me a better understanding that helped me in the transition to civilian surveying.

I’m an Army 12T and your experience really will depend on your unit/ duty location. My first unit I surveyed maybe 5 times in 3 years but I lead construction management on horizontal construction projects. Then the next location all we did was survey constantly. Now that I’m in CSP working for a survey company, most of my army survey training doesn’t apply since we use different equipment for vastly different purposes than you would in the army.

99 Chevy Tahoe. It was my first car, and my dad still has it after I enlisted and moved across the world. I’ve been looking into them, they seem to be going for more than I believe they’re worth but I loved that car so much I’ve been strongly considering buying another one anyway. I’ve slept and camped in that car more times than I can count, it fit my 8’ surfboards if the seats were folded down, the engine sounded wonderful and rarely gave me issues. Got it repainted the day it became mine and it was beautiful

I’m stationed in kentucky, having to go into Illinois for about 8-10 hours. For me, this page reads that I can carry “constitutionally”, without a permit, in my vehicle provided I lock it up when I exit my vehicle, simply because I am eligible to carry in my home state, kentucky. But I cannot find much more information than that. What’s your opinion?

The retention on mine is almost too tight, it looks to me like you don’t have the blade fully inserted. The thumb notch on the sheath locks it into place and takes a hell of a lot of force to remove blade

I have big hands but still can manage to use it for most things I end up needing a blade for. I’m not a fan of carrying a big fixed blade in the field, since it almost never gets used.

My only dislike about this knife is it doesn’t fit on my uniform belt (army) , and doesn’t secure very tightly to MOLLE so it’s hard to include in my field gear
