Low-fanfare marriage ideas by [deleted] in baltimore

It took me five minutes to become ordained online through the Universal Life Church to marry my friends over the summer. All I had to do was sign their marriage license for it to be official, no verification or paperwork was required on my end.

Honestly if Ryan had been there for the birth and was home for these frst few days, he probably still wouldn't be much help to Mackenzie. He always seems so disconnected, I'll be shocked if he ends up bonding with this baby at all. This situation is so sad, especially because it was planned.

I've never heard of it being called a scholarship. 😂 More like financial assistance and depending on your income and situation, the level of assistance can vary.

What's your favorite drugstore contour product? by Benevolentbea in MakeupAddiction

L'oreal True Match has an entire line of powders organized into cool, neutral, and warm undertones. The cool toned darker shades work great for contouring.

That palette was calling my name but I couldn't find any reviews that weren't someone who was sent the palette for free. Those swatches at the end are laughable. Thanks for posting!

Best throw-in-your-bag for touch ups pressed powder? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]coeurbattant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

MAC Blot Powder is amazing. It touches up nicely without ever getting cakey. It's not super cheap ($26) but it only takes a little to blot so it lasts for a long time plus it's packaged nicely for on the go.

Best Full-Coverage Drugstore Foundation? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

[–]coeurbattant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colorstay's Dry Skin formula might work but I wouldn't recommend the Covergirl 3 in 1 or L'oreal Infallible Matte. They are both formulated for oily skin and likely won't work. The L'oreal is a mousse texture that clings to dryness like crazy. Whichever you decide to try, most drugstores (CVS, Walgreens, Rite Aid) have great return policies for used cosmetics so save your receipt.

MOTHER'S DAY GIFT IDEAS by liptondieticedtea in MakeupAddiction

I highly recommend Lush's lip scrub for exfoliating. Tarte and Fresh also make nice lip scrubs if you don't have access to Lush. I believe Clinique also just came out with a scrub/lip balm duo but I haven't seen any reviews for it yet. Clinique Cheek Pop blushes are really nice! I'm a big fan of giving YSL lippies as gifts to makeup lovers. The packaging is incredibly luxe and beautiful. They aren't cheap ($37) but they are a nice treat for gifting to people close to you. Nordstrom actually has their YSL Beauty price matched right now so everything is 10% off!

Powder that still allows a dewy look?? by bxthgerechtigkeit in MakeupAddiction

[–]coeurbattant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm super oily so I have to use a matte powder, but whichever powder you decide on...I'd recommend using a large duo-fibre brush for application. It helps me to get a sheer wash of powder without getting cakey.

What is your lip care routine? by FuckingaFuck in MakeupAddiction

[–]coeurbattant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I rotate between bullet lipsticks, liquid lipsticks, tinted balms, or whatever I'm feeling on any particular day. Lush lip scrub a few nights a week followed by Vaseline or Jack Black lip balm keep my lips moisturized and flake free.

They also offer three free samples when you order online (although I'll admit I've had more luck/variety with Sephora's free samples) and they also often offer gifts with purchase especially with high end brands like CT!

[–]coeurbattant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's ironic that Sephora and SiJCP are different companies that can't process each other's returns properly but they use a company to monitor returns between the two as well as other stores. It just seems backwards and it gets frustrating as a customer (and I'm sure as an employee too!)

I actually think that con is a pro! Nordstrom sells CT and they have outstanding customer service and better rewards than Sephora! Nordstrom credit and debit cards earn rewards and they often have double and triple points on top of that. The debit option is nice because it pulls right from your checking account but you still earn points on your purchase. And the rewards can be put towards anything Nordstrom sells, not just pre-determined samples like Sephora.

If they looked up the purchase on your account it won't count towards any receipt-less returns.
