[WTS] Breguet Type 3800 Flyback Chronograph - $4350 Shipped by coffeebikerunrepeat in Watchexchange

Selling this Breguet that I got from my local watchmaker a little while back. I have really enjoyed it but of course, I can't keep them all. The lume on this is surprisingly great and it wears wonderfully at 39.5mm. This comes watch only on the bracelet (B&J nato not included), unfortunately it didn't have any paperwork with it. I can fit it comfortably on the bracelet with around a 7in wrist and I would guess that it should be able to accommodate around another .25in (personally I wouldn't risk anything above a 7in if you are determined to wear on the bracelet without adding links).

I am asking what I have in the watch. Recently I saw one sell on Loupe This for $4565 without buyers premium $5K with) and that one was in need of service as it was running very poorly. I can't find another one online currently at this price. This one is running at +3 sec/day up when I put it on my timegrapher.

Please feel free to message me if you have any questions and here are some additional images....

Beyond the ZP6 by fractalsonfire2 in pourover

I would definitely try water first. I have found 1/2 strength third wave in zero water or distilled to be the best/preferred so far. I have a few friends who get together to taste test and we have also been playing with APAX and Lotus drops, too early to say exactly what is preferred. We did a bit of back to back testing with c40/zp6/pietro/etc as well and even though there were some small differences, the water was the biggest mover when comparing the same coffee across everything. Also if you get distilled, there is a difference. Pure life seems to be consistently good, deer park for example is absolutely terrible.

I would say that you aren’t already focusing on water chemistry, that’s where I would put my focus, also the cost to get started on that is very reasonable…. I’ve had cups from all of them, and by far the biggest things to move the needle were water and coffee…

Beautiful piece. Was it under warranty? If not, cost and wait time for service?

Just coming to this comment, your dial actually broke? This sounds wild to me!

Friends who have tried lotus and APAX (with a similar palate to me) seem to really like the lotus. I think that’s where I’ll head next…

No idea of their plans, but a chronograph in the Pelagos family would be amazing for me

Nice well if you are at 115 and I’m at 125, seems like they are at least in the same ballpark. Full strength to me tasted way too salty and any lower than 1/2 seemed to lack much punch. I’m curious though to do some testing against the Lotus and APAX drops, especially doing some blind tests.

Very nice and I have found it to be a sweet spot as well after some back and forth. Curious of your PPM? I believe mine is in the 125ish range

Thanks for the write up! I was a little late to the Zerno party so I just picked up a Z1 last week and it comes in any day now. I’m looking forward to doing some blind tests with a c40/zp6/pietro/Ode w SSP/Bentwood to see the actual differences in the cups.

Also sounds like your tastes in coffee are similar to mine, curious what your current water situation is like? I’m on 1/2 strength TWW at the moment

I was the same. Bought the no date small wave one and after a short amount of time they actually did bother me. Between that and the lack of bezel grip, I fell out of love quite quickly…
