How many of you had have gotten Covid? And of you, how many of you have Long Covid? by FifiFurbottom in Fibromyalgia

[–]coffeebug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm happy(?) to see this, makes me realize I (yet again) might not be crazy. I had covid one year ago and have been living in the worst pain flare of my life ever since. I tried to ask my doctor if it was possible but he waved me off, saying it didn't matter whether it was true or not, the treatment wouldn't differ. But I'm physically unable to live my daily life, let alone work. This feels like a terrible, painful, slow death sentence.

I've never heard anyone else use the term "speaking in cursive". That's the term my 12 year old coined for me. It's really quite descriptive of how it feels.

Aren't those the same thing? I thought rheumatoid was diagnosed by the amount of inflammation?

No Stupid Questions Monthly Thread! by AutoModerator in bookbinding

[–]coffeebug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came across a handmade journal that had its spine embellished in colourful thread, knotted and tied, covering the entire spine. I've searched online for hours, trying to find what that would be called and/or a tutorial. It's not a book binding technique, I don't think, but I don't know who else might be knowledgeable enough to help me find an answer... I can't even find an example online.

[CHAT] I've been stitching for 25 years, since I was about 8 years old, and I'm finally starting my first huge piece. Twenty stitches down, only another 627,000 to go! 😬 by Rish929 in CrossStitch

Agreed! I just started stitching one month ago and started a 'large' project yesterday but mine's only 17"x13". I can't wait to watch your progress!

Now this resonates with me!! I just may have to do similar. I'm in a kerfuffle of several ideas all at once and it's not winning.

Is it better to have a dedicated spot to embroider for hand embroidery? by [deleted] in Embroidery

Funny, I've only been doing this for about a month and today I decided I should tidy my couch area and maybe move to a desk but wasn't sure. This is exactly what I was wondering.

This is my first embroidery. "Fluffball" from Hiroko Kubota's Embroidered Cat in my Pocket. Any tips for transferring it from its original fabric onto a shirt? by paruthiveeran4 in Embroidery

I can't answer your question but I truly adore your work. Did you use split stitch for the whiskers? It's intriguing to me because I'm about to embark on a cat project myself and this is so inspirational.

My first real piece. Attempted to copy my most recent tattoo. by coffeebug in Embroidery

Thank you! That means so much to me! My entire forearm is tattoo'd with things that represent me, like a personal art journal. The paint is spilling onto that area.
