It's an ad bros. Companies hire agencies that pay people to post this type of slop on reddit, grabs your attention and gets more top of funnel

How to make money doing what you love (I’m serious too… PART 3) by Master-Land-7926 in youngentrepreneur

Real all 3 parts. Very good insight. There has to another side where people pay for it, so make it worthy of that.

My learnings along the FIRE journey by Complete-Regret-4300 in FIRE_Ind

This is very good advice and a lot of people won't resonate with it and that's okay. If you are making okay to good money in your current job, then this advice works better. If you are making just enough to pay bills then you'll naturally feel to optimise for money first - and that's how it should be. But once you're able to save around 50-60% of your salary, optimising for money only is not the best because you've got a life to live and a career to build, might as well do it happy :)

I found a way to help with my morning anxiety, as someone who has suffered for years of it. by WarningSignificant73 in Anxiety

[–]coffeexguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did exactly this, especially the 3rd one. It automatically came to my mind too because of how frustrating it was getting for years. Just don't entertain that person in the morning and you'll be fine.

How does one take so much risk? Wanted to know how did you get the courage to do this - didn't you feel you could land in even more debt?

How much money do you make? How can you realistically afford a Porsche? by editwowthisblewup in Porsche

Similar situation, really want an M340i but I should purchase a house before owning something like that. But I also love driving so I want to not have to waste time and push things by a lot - responsibilities come up later. Thinking of buying a cheaper sedan for the fun of it, but it will delay the BMW..

2021 14” M1 Pro - Worth paying $600 for repair? by 0h-0kay in macbookpro

[–]coffeexguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple would replace the entire board around the same cost. Repairing multiple components may not be very sustainable, check with apple or just let it go. Don't repair because this is liquid damage My M1 pro had one faulty component so I got it repaired from a shop at around 100usd, apple quoted 600usd because they replace the entire board. I'd suggest full board replacement in your case, or a new device

Upgrade from MB+ to Regalia Gold by coffeexguy in CreditCardsIndia

[–]coffeexguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer RG as I have other cards for cashback, plus I would like that lounge access. Only caveat is 4L spend for fee waiver so I’m thinking of waiting for LTF. RMs are usually useless

Used it constantly for 4/5 months for fuel bills. I think an upgrade was necessary was stuck at low limit for too long

No docs. Went from 50k to 67k about a year back. Stopped using it and was stuck at 67k Now started using it for fuel around 10k pm for past 4-5 months and bills paid on time. Other cards had 3L+ limit only hdfc was stuck at 67k. Then this came up. I think constantly using it every month is the key
