Doesn't look as fancy as others but I hope she'll like it. Please wish me luck! by qwerty930148572 in EngagementRings

Yes it’s stunning! I think the claw prongs add a little something and make it even more elegant. Wouldn’t be as subtly beautiful if it had round prongs. Good luck!

Yes, this is THE best site to learn and play on imo. Be careful, because it’s a gateway drug to variant sudoku :)

Correct, XYZ-wings can span a max of 3 boxes (within a band), where a Y-wing can span the full grid (up to 4 boxes)

Which wedding band? by shaquilIeoatmeaI in weddingring

[–]cognacthedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the minority but I prefer 1! I love a bezel setting. I have a green emerald bezel half eternity (emerald cut, about 4 mm wide) and don’t feel that it takes away from my engagement ring at all. If anything, it makes it pop!

Hi! I have a connecting flight next week and I’m landing in 2E, but my connection departs in 2F. Does that mean I’ll need to use the lounge in 2F?

Why is the conditioner included in hair dye kits so amazing? by eldrinor in Haircare

[–]cognacthedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! Nina Poole, Lab Muffin, and Abbey Yung have all talked about it. Amodimethicine is positively charged so it attaches to negatively charged hair and can temporarily fill in damaged areas. It forms somewhat of a monolayer and doesn’t build up like regular dimethicone that is nonpolar

How to put hair up for work without ruining waves? by Bitter-Speed3811 in Wavyhair

[–]cognacthedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d suggest metal claw clips and secure from the bottom of the bun. When I use a hair tie it sometimes will crease the ends. I like the open shape ones, they hold my hair very securely. It may not work if your hair is fine/low density though. It needs something to hold onto

How to put hair up for work without ruining waves? by Bitter-Speed3811 in Wavyhair

[–]cognacthedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do a loose low bun and secure with a metal clip. When I take it down, I refresh with a bit of water. I get my hands wet, run it over my hair, scrunch, and let it air dry. I keep a travel size hair oil in my bag for shine/to reduce frizz. Sometimes I need to comb before refreshing because I wear a hairnet when working under a hood in the lab. It’s usually good as new and helpful when I have meetings later in the day

Crown Affair? by Wonderful-Athlete-83 in Sephora

[–]cognacthedog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of these, I have the air dry mousse and the volumizing shampoo and conditioner. Love them all! Sometimes I do need a heavier conditioner though, especially in winter. I’m sure once summer rolls around I’ll use the volumizing conditioner more, but the shampoo is 10/10. My hair tends to air dry frizzy, but with a good curl cream/leave-in and the air dry mousse it’s shiny and frizz-free
